Ahhh, finally posting some pics of the new whip after almost 6 months of ownership. In the end it came down to the Nissan Cube SL and Mistubishi Lancer GTS, two drastically different vehicles. I really wanted a mid level Subaru Imprezza but it wasn't in the budget. I was looking for something with more cargo and passenger space than my old Acura EL, better performance but still good on gas, and something sporty that wouldn't tempt me to sink a ton of money into it... In the end I snagged a good deal on a 2009 Nissan Rogue SL FWD, I wanted the AWD with the premium package and possibly the leather upgrade but it wasn't in the numbers. Just broke the 11,000 KM mark and I'm lovin' it, the Rogue is a sporty crossover that drives and handles like a car but still has enough room to haul around all of my work stuff. It's smooth driving taking this baby on the highway and it's great for road trips and weekend getaways. Project EL is now officially Project ROGUE... stay tuned for the mods, check it out!

Very nice pictures. Glad to see you have a parking garage! Are you required to have a front license plate? Unfortunately it’s the law in my state so I’m stuck wearing one.

I also like they way the Rogue handles in snow & ice. I’m stepping down from the heavy Murano, which also performed well in the winter, but at a higher cost.

Hey Pawprint, where did you get that chrome trim? It looks really nice and subtle.

It came in a roll and I purchased from my local auto supply store. I liked the chrome on the front of my Murano and tried to duplicate, but scale down.

I'm thinking of purchasing an "OEM style" spoiler from eBay and wanted some feedback... Has anyone purchased one of these, hows the quality, fit and finish? I know there are a couple members with aftermarket/copy-cat spoilers, did you get yours from eBay or elsewhere?

Here's the one that I am looking at...

skholla,

Read the following post, there are some great comparisons between the OEM spoiler and one of the eBay ones along with a great step-by-step installation:

More pics I'll be able to make probably on sunday. I bought them for $1000 used from guy who drove 'em on Altima (found him on different forum). The ride is stiffer but not as bad as I thought. I can feel bumps more but again not as bad as I thought. Right now it's a lot easier to turn and the car is more stable on turns. Already got couple compliments today and one guy actually was confused since he couldn't even think that this is not a murano from the side. The tires are 245/35/20 and I measured from top to the bottom it's 26". This is the size of the stock 17" with the tires...26". Previous owner used to drive them on Altima:

Yes. This price includes the tires. Actually not a bad condition. He told me tires were installed in april of this year. Just checked with everythingnissan.com MSRP $780.17 and their cost $633.89 per wheel without a tire.

Forgot to mention there's a small vibration on the car when I go over 125 mph...just kidding. Vibration starts about 85 mph but I'm sure that's because big wheels and small tire. Will think in future to put bigger tires but I don't think there's a lot space to put oem murano tires. There's a possibility it will touch the strut.

Today I had some free time and decided that I want either a vertical or horizontal grill as well as to finish my emblem that I connected to the fog lights. Emblem project I stole from altima forum except I didn't put a tint and you can see the holes. Also the letter "A" instead of cutting the whole triangle I did cut the letter around and drilled a small hole at the bottom. After thinking on grill I decided to do a horizontal by applying some black vinyl that would match the car color:

Nice job Leo. Blacking out the vertical bars on the grill gives it more of an Infiniti look from the front.

Love the emblem mod!
I've seen that thread on the Altima forum, and have always thought that was a pretty sweet mod.

My Christmas Tree - LED Mood light :chuckle:
In the beginning I was thinking to put only 1 where it is supposed to be originally but then I decided to put couple more to fit all the holes. Power was taken from cd player 12V switched and negative from dome light. So 1 LED light glows to the knob and 2 to the cup holders:

Hey Leo... Love all your mods, as usual... but you just had to make me go looking for the Altima thread on the emblem mod. :gapteeth:

Here's the link for those of you who haven't seen it yet. Pretty cool

Thanks Elton but I'm about to remove 2 led lights from dome light. It is very annoying when I drive at night. People can see me even throw tinted windows and cops can see my seat belt/phone. So I'll stay with only one that was designed by nissan for dome light...I mean for shift knob.
