i figured id make a thread on how my project is going. heres how it begani just turned 15 and was looking around for a 240. i found one in ohio for 1200. we live in illinois so it was about a 14 hour trip there and back. my dad and i left at 3 am and got back at like 9 pm that same sunday. everyone thought i was stupid for buying a beat up car. no one had faith so ive been workin on it ever since. im still 15 but i start drivers ed in about 5 days! the cars just my dd so im not modifying the engine at all. i say either engine swap, or turbo or nothing. bolt ons are a waste of money i think personally. my main goal was just to have a nice looking s13. and yea i still love body kits and widebodys coming from a fnf fanboy. so on with the pics...the day we brought her home

stripped for sound deadener

fresh paint! it was my first time painting a car. im happy with how it came out. i wasnt expecting anything perfect. picked white to hide imperfections and bondo

primer

base coat. toyota super white

clear

bought these p45r's from a fellow nico member17 x 9 +12

(gotta clean up that brake setup)fit perfect!

bought some interior goodies. nardi deep corn 330mm, sparco glob x shift knob, shift boot...

i got bored so i got blue lights

then upgraded to these bad boys

got polk sr component set ($800) for 225 at a closing Tweeter

before

after

some final after shots

hate my exhaust or love it i like it

i still need to buy tires, then coilovers, who knows what else. i honestly dont think ill ever stop putting money into this. i enjoy every minute of it though. anyway im open to comments. love or hate. o and also...yes i know my exhaust is on crooked. im going to fix that

well my dad helps me with the engine stuff. all the engine needed was a new water pump and power steering hose. so the engines working perfect. other than that i do everything on my own and ive payed for everything since the beggining. ive learned so much from the internet and nico! you have no idea how much ive learned in the last couple months.

i first used dupli color paint shop on the front bumber then i switched to nason base coat clear coat. such a better deal!!! like 110 for a gallon! dupli color was 100 a gallon! plus the reducer was idk less then 50 with the nason! so you got way more paint. i was very happy with this paint. it was very affordable. the other choice was way up to 300 a gallon and the only difference was really it just had more like "white" in it. more color. i forgot what the word was. anyway i couldnt afford that. nason worked good with me

Poseidonnnn, your car's on a BOAT!Looks like you're off to a really good start man. What kind of wheels are those? Works? They look legit. I'm really impressed.

At 15 I was still skateboarding the day away lol. You're off to a sweet start. I like the kit it came with.Nice parts list, err parts.

Don't forget an LSD man. Do your research, research again, then decide to buy the one that's right for you!

Your fitment and aero will be more legit than most of the ppl on here probably including me because your wheels > mine. GG

theyre rotas. right now i cant afford baller rims that cost more than my car. so these will do. the p45r's are about the only good looking rotas with low offsets i think

yup its raamat. and the black is the ensolite. the black carept came in the car it doesnt fit very well. when i had to put it back in after the raamat it was a b****. plus i had almost 3/4 of a inch of extra material on the floor

well stripping the car took me one night. about 5-7 hours maybe. then putting the raamat in and ensolite took like 2-3 days. i got 2 rolls! and like 8 yards of ensolite. used it all! everything cost me about 300 shipped i believe.

$200?!?

No way. You should be able to get four 60%-90% tires for that price. Maybe not Azenis's or high end brands but some decent ones.
