I still think I'm going to go ka-t but who knows right now. I've still got to: get it off the side of the road where in broke down do to the fuel pump; drop the tank, drain and wash; install new fuel pump. Hopefully then the pile will role back home. I'm bout to call a tow truck just to get it home. I don't have anything that can pull my buddies trailer. I suck at life..

its alright i know u'll see the light eventually, when i first got a pig nose i thought id go ca to be "true" to the car since thats what zenkis had and also i wanted to be a little different. when i ended up buying the pignose though the engine was a nissan crate motor w/ only 20k miles on it, and i thought hey this is the best sohc ive ever seen it woudl be perfect for boost, before i boosted it i did more research on engine swap and lied everything i found about the sr i just couldnt bring myself to pull such a mint engine yet. i sold it and got an s13 w/ a sr swapped in by pros, after sellnig my car and another one i got for free, it cost me $800 out of pocket.

my friend thats a member on here, didderson, is a hardcore ka guy and is also going on about building up his ka and all sorts of other stuff, hes even talking about staying NA, after some internal failure i get a text about where to get a good sr, so ya see, u'll come around eventually?

rb20 swaps are amazing.

Cheaper motorsets than sr20..sound awesome..parts a still a little pricey, but the swaps popularity continues to grow - so the parts are out theremore midrange torquecan still use stock driveshaftall that you need is a mount kit and electric fan setup!

*Update.

Got the car off the side of the road after like two weeks. Tomorrow I'm going to drop the tank, rinse it out, and change the fuel pump. Yippee! Finally going to drive my car again.

As for the SR, sell me one for cheap thats in good shape and I'll consider it.

Lol.

I'm going to take some pics of the drop tomorrow, since I can't find an s13 one. But, then again, I didn't look terribly hard. So, I will post them tomorrow if I take them. Yup, yup.

Alright, so this morning I started the tedious task of my tank drop, only to be disappointed. First off, my camera wouldn't work, so there will be no pictures. Not that it matters because not to many are following this build anyway, and the ones that are mostly know how to do this.

Removing the fuel pump.

First, pop the hatch. Lift up your carpet (if you have any) and on the right side of the trunk you will see a plate with 4 screw/bolts in it. Take a 10mm socket and undo all 4 bolts. Be careful not to pull to hard on the plate due to the wires running through them. There is a little plate to the right of that, that you may want to take off to make this easier. (I did) After you remove the plate you will see 4 wires or so and 2 hoses running to the front. Take a pair of plyers and and move the hose clamps further up the line, past the nipple. Take a phillips screwdriver and remove the 6 screws around the rim of the second cover. After removing the screws, carefully pull up the cover, with the fuel pump attached. Remove the clamp off line running form the top of the pump to the nipple. There are 2 rubber pieces covering the + and - connectors. Pull back the covers and again use the phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws.

Side note:This is where I ran into problems. My negative wire connector was broke off, hence making the fuel pump not work... Therefore, although I really need to clean out my tank, I'm not going to due to shortage of time.(damn work) So now I'm just going to re-tip the ends of the wires and put in the new fuel pump and be on my marry way.

Even though I'm not going to do this, I'll tell you how to drop the tank on a s13 se. There are 2 straps that hold the tank in place. Toward the front of the tank, if you follow the straps, you will find 2 17mm bolts holding on the straps. Grab a friend and have him hold up the tank while you undo the 2 bolts. The bolt closest to the driver side is a little tricky to get to, so, tough sh*t, unless you want to remove your differential. As long as you've got your friend holding the tank, ready to catch it, thats it.

I may post this into the articles section when I get pics and plan it and word it a little better.

Thanks for keeping track, if you are..

I hope to get some pics of my car next week. As for now, I just want to get it driving. I ran into more problems today. After changing out my fuel pump and reinstalling it all, it wouldn't kick on. I went and opened the gas cap to see if there was any pressure and I just wasn't hearing it kick on and no.. its not working. Now I know there is a fuse in the engine bay, and I know where that is but, is there one down by the clutch? My buddy told me there was, but I don't know. WC or Idaho, HELP.

Where the hell is he? WC, Help. My pump didn't have a ground on it that I could see, unless the ground was, what I believe the negative to be. I'll be a little more specific. There was a red wire (my power) and a black wire (my neg. or a ground?) I'm in need of assistance.

I wish I would of taken pictures.. But my cam sucks santa's balls. My buddy is coming to help me in the morning to see if I can fix this *****. I'm about to sell it and buy a running 240 that hadn't set for 2 years and as a result, crap up the inside of the tank and make me mad.

alright, its been a little but the black is a ground. iirc there is a relay under the hood for the fp, bust out the fsm and check the diagrams. and is this a stock fp or aftermarket?
