quick update, i see i forgot to mention my mom got me a NISMO leather shift knob back in November for my birthday im sure ill get pictures of it someday...still waiting on my intercooler a month later.

anyways, today is December 26, that means boxing day-which means to you Americans, well it means nothing. But its Canada's version of black Friday. so i was outside the electronics store at 3AM this morning, Picked up some car audio for my car for fairly cheap. Yes my car is going to have a sound system....

anyways, Pioneer Deck, 2 kicker DX amps for future speakers. and my Kicker ZX 1000W amp Ive had kickin around for a few months now. I buy audio when its cheap, which is pretty much once a year haha.

Also, my wonderful girlfriend, who is taking University-with Art as her major made me a little Christmas gift, She found a picture of an S14(kouki) on google, im surprised enough that she even remembered it was a Nissan haha! Yet she remembered TE-37's are my dream wheel and managed to find one with those too! Anyways this is now hanging above my bed.

I also got very bored and decided to pull everything and lay it out, my parts take up most of my room and my exhaust takes up all of under my bed, i kinda forgot how much stuff i had laying around until i laid it out.

uh, well it will remain a Zenki for now. Im not going to touch the body untill it is where i want it mechanically. I have some rust that needs to be taken care of and paint is still being decided...im torn between a metallic grey or keeping it the OEM concorde grey.

But it is a very good chance it will someday be a kouki, my right fender is beat to s***, my hood is messed up and my front bumper needs to be replaced...so i may just go kouki.

quick, but big update.

found my motor, $1900 for an S14 motor set with a freshly machined head. Comes with no turbo and the head isnt complete.

the plan is to fill it up with a BC head package.

I also filled out the missing turbo by ordering the good old GT28RS, or as you may know it, disco potato.

They should both be in my possession on Saturday the 5th. ill post pics when i get them.

Looking like u r on your way to hitting your goal! I would have want .86 on the turbo, buts its all good! you dont need the greddy manifold unless you want over 400whp. If thats what your going to be going with do the version 2. you'll also wanna get at least 850cc injectors (i like using sard) then invest in a stand alone with a MAP conversion!

Hey Mitchum, great build so far! Basically the same route I woulda taken had I done an SR ( maybe a bigger turbo, but im like that lol). Lotta good quality parts, what's the timeline on the project? Running this summer?

Thanks for all the advice. I predict ill want more power eventually so I'm trying to build the motor based on that. I was looking to pick up a bigger turbo but got the GT28 on a pretty good sale. So maybe in the future I'll pick up something along the lines of a GT30. But for now 400hp is my goal. 350 I would be very very pleased with.

I don't see the car running till next summer with the parts I still need and school tuition being due soon. But we will see.

Hahahaha I literally love this car. I plastered all my extra stickers on it. I love cruising in what is with out a doubt a "ricer".

I got it off a family friend. Consider Its less than half the Dakota to insure and twice the milage I love it. I thought I would spice it up
A bit. Let my inner rice run wild on it instead of my S14. Oh dear. Haha. Now if only I could get the courage to list my truck. I miss driving it. But to sell it...the extra money would be nice.

RANT

ive been intending to build my motor myself, however with a shortfall of time and some recent family stuff ive started looking at getting the block built by another shop. Through the shop I work at we do quite a few motor jobs/performance swaps on mostly chev stuff. We get all our motors done by one shop. I called there today and told them it was my personal motor needing assembly and the block machined. long story short the second I said NISSAN 2.0L he stopped talking and said "were not interested, we wont make any money off of it, we dont know the condition of the parts going in it, its not worth our time"
I was annoyed, I kept my cool, told him I understood and I would do it myself or find someone willing to do it for me. Thats when he said "well if you can wait until like January when its slower I might be able to find time as a favor to your shop"- that pissed me off, big time.

First of all, im in no rush, its not waiting until January that is my issue- its that he may be able to do it as a favor. We do YOU a favor by having one of the city's bigger accounts do ALL our shop based work through YOU. Secondly, I was going to accept your excuse of "I didnt order the parts, they could be wrong"- but show A little faith, the parts are all BRAND new in the box, quality isnt an issue, part fitment isnt an issue.

I could go on, but ugh. Hes a good guy, but really? treat a paying customer like this? I could careless if he called me tomorrow and offered to have it done this week- my work is going somewhere else even if it costs me a little extra.
