best of luck to ya from a fellow Mississippian. So do you work at Macaroni Grill? I love that place.

oh btw, you are only young once and free time becomes less and less as you get older, and responsibilities become greater and greater. I say have fun while you're young because you can't get those days back, no matter how much money you have or spend trying to re-live the past. So work hard, play hard and have fun. My $.02

Haha no i dont work there but its closing by the way. I used to work at Amerigos and ill start working there again this summer. Well it was the springs not the shocks that were messing with my ride. Lowering it and the new springs stopped the bumpstops from hitting which is really weird. Something maybe loose in the rear end but its not hitting anymore so im happy and it rides a lot smoother. Right now the car is at a tire place gettin a new set of front tires. Im moving the old front tires to the back because as you can see in that picture those are shot due to a lot of camber. Im also getting it aligned. So right now all i have done is springs. The shocks were the same kind of shocks and when taken off performed exactly the same so we are selling those blue shocks on ebay or on here if anyone hollers fast enough. Also we are selling the stock springs. After i get the clutch on i think im going to find out once and for all if it is VLSD. If it doesnt ill go junkyard diving and get me one. And somewhere in between I will put those sensors and headlight in. Im riding a little dirty.L8R

So come to find out my LCA is broken on one side.$65 for a new one and all that good stuff. I got new tires on the front and moved the front ones to the back. The front end alignment went well but the lowering of the rears requires an aftermarket camber kit which i have ordered off of ebay for $50. So one all that is done maybe it will sit right and ride a little smoother and the klunking from the rear end will stop.I have yet to put in the headlight and three engine sensors and clutch.Clutch might be gettin done this week but who knows.I also have a question. I heard from a local guy with a kouki that all s14s came with VLSD.... I have tried to run the numbers and the digits i need are just blank and not there. So its going slowly but surely. After the suspension fixing and clutch and maintenence is done it will be time for 248 cams and a header.

All S14's came with a VLSD = False.

You've got an SE, so your odds are better, but not guaranteed.

ya thats what i thought but i didnt want to bust the guy out ha.Dropping the car and clutch off at a shop tom and hopefully gettin it back friday to take it to my dads and put those camber kit arms on and fix the clunking and rough ride... Thats the only thing i can think of. It bottoms out all the time in the rear and both rear tires look like //////// ha so maybe it will work out.Doing a little math, if i work a 8 to 5 this summer at around $8 an hour ill have around $2500 depending on how much more cigs go up. Thats a hella lot of money to put on a car so after coilovers, short throw, and VLSD if needed anyone else got ideas of where on the car to blow the rest of the money?

So today i put in adjustable camber bars... didnt do squat to help my bottoming out issue, but i did learn a lot about the handling effects of camber. I adjust it to my tires being straight up and down... HOLY SH*T it felt so different. needless to say i went back and adjust them back out. I will be taking it to a tire place to get it aligned properly. After that its going to a dealership because me and my dad have both exhausted our car knowlege. There is a clunking sound in the back whenever i let in or out of the clutch in a hard shift and when the suspension is being josled. It was not the lowering springs because it did it before i put them on and so maybe half of it is the bump stops being a little tall but the drive shaft is at a weird angle. The guy i got to put the clutch in and me and my dad both have noticed the driveshaft issue. We have check all the arms and suspension peices and everything is fine so i have no clue whats wrong.Any help would be appriciated.ThanksAnd i will be posting pics of camber arms... purchased of course on ebay haha $50

Heh those damn cancer sticks are up to $9 for a pack down in NY. Have you considered going KA-T? Might save you some money, unless you set on a SR. In any case good luck with the car .......

PS. UPS some crawfish :p I love the damn thing and it sucks in NY

haha jk jk

i made the mistake of spending 1/4 of my deployments money on my 240. the mistake part is the shop i paid to rebuild it and fix it up...didnt do to good of research on them...my own fault

good luck whatever you do bro !!
lol reminds me of my friend with his RX-7... He went to iraq but left his car at this guy's shop and while he was in iraq he was ordering parts and having them sent to the guy to install... when he got back from iraq his car was sitting in the parking lot... the shop had closed down, his engine and all of his aftermarket parts were gone, and the owner had went completely missing... now he's doing an ls-1 swap...

Haha damn dude you have no idea. Crawfish, potatos, corn, and onions with a beer... HEAVEN!But ya its a peg leg Soooo Ill be going to the junkyard next weekend to get sensors and see if any of the s13s there have LSD. And the main reason I want an SR is because its turboed stock and me nor my dad have any experience with turbos so its going to be a learning experience and it is a bit more JDM. And its a moderate power engine that is reliable ha. Just a cool safe relatively powerful platform with a turbo that i can start off with.

That clunking noise, almost 100% certain it rear subframe bushings. Best to buy collars or totally replace with NISMO bushings, at least that's what I had done and no more clunking.

i suggest solid over nismo. Can be had for less and perform better. I just bought rubber washers at Ace Hardware to put on the top and bottom of them to act as rubber inserts to reduce vibration (no metal to metal contact).
