This thread kicks ***!Cant wait to see the next update!!

I see some people do not like Ebay parts.

1 things to say... Be glad you can actually get stuff from Ebay!

Living in Africa really sucks, trust me.Performance parts are hard to come by!I would gladly use Ebay,if it was a blinking option.hehehehe

I can stop if you wish... ill have a header install review soon.
i dont mind, your review was amazingly written, I just dont want a bunch of ppl coming in like I bought this and I liked it.
Scuffed_ChukiCoupe wrote:keep doing what youre doin nismo, great build thread, youre probably the only person willing to go through with this.. and i give u props. Cause all u hear is ebay parts this ebay parts that, it could be tru as well as not so puttin this out there isnt a bad idea.
Thank you

for myself, the godspeed coilover sellers (advan_racing) got back to me and they did send the wrong install guide. Technically they're called godspeed type rs coilovers, so that explains the shipping description. I am getting the godspeeds then lol. Everything is being tracked and is on time, tires tomorrow (MY BIRTHDAY ) , wheels thursday and coilovers friday.

i'm gonna share wat i know from ebay parts with y'all...since i'm on my 4th 240sx and been using ebay parts for years...so i might not even remember all the parts i've bought just the important onesair intake-went through a hand full of them through ebay but total out to be less then one injen depending on the seller parts sometimes missing and best part is i get to try out every possible intake set up and get the experience of what would happenexhaust-had one of the early 3 inch on my KA works like a champ for 2 years, no rust problem, would love to have one now except it is a cop magnet in californiaShort throw shifter-dont buy the kit for $60 buy the one piece B&M knock off for $100, make note u still think u r driving a truck but ur "throw" will be noticeably less then stock shiftersprings-same no name brand that lowers 2 inches front and rear ride, noise level and ride quality was different on 2 different 240 so im not gonna blame it on the springstruts-gr2 from NOPI vs AGX from ebay, AGX blew out after a year GR-2 went longer, next will be coilover from ebay went the time comes but u'll save 20-50 dollars from buying from ebay if u r buying KYBwheels- (5 years ago) found some discontinue Konig MP3 that looks like ADVAN, and everybody thought they were ADVAN for less then $400 shipped (1year ago) found the 15x7 w 0offset panasport knock offs for $300 shipped i can promise u that u can't find it for that price anymore, my friend been tryingsteering wheel+hub-wish i spend the extra money for the quick release but thinking buying another set all together since it is so cheap and this old one can go on the shelf in my roommis suspension stuff-everything works but i highly recommend spending the extra money on Tein tie rods and rod ends, i did and hopefully u'll save some money off my experiencei avoid buying electronics off ebay unless it is brand name stuff, if u have any kind of IQ u should know ywith that said i only buy stuff from ebay if i save more then $20 dollars otherwise i dont think it is worth the trouble (goes for anything over the internet)mad props to nismodriver240 for this tread...wish i would of thought of this 6 years ago and saved a lot of people a lot of moneyPS ebay brand clutch and light weight flywheel (ebay brand not brand name on ebay) i think its call xted or some **** but it still grabbing strong after a year of really bad abuse, most common complain is the grab tolerance is shorten by about 1/2 doesn't bother me and i think it is the flywheels problem not the clutch

just letting you all know I'm alive lol. my internet at my house is down until maybe today or tomorrow, so i have to go on at work. all online sharing and storage (like photobucket) is blocked so no pics but i'll be sure to update as soon as my home internet is back on.

wheels are in, they look sick! tires are in and look awesome, tread looks amazing. and the godspeed coils that you've all been waiting for come in today!! However, I cant review them until after the swap unless someone can help me with my problem...

like i said, no pics yet, but i just got a peek at the coils on lunch.

whoever was worried about the wleds dont be, and to the person saying this that n the other thing about theym you got a batd set, my welds are immaculate. they look as if it was one piece of metal milled in crazy ways to make the coilover. simply amazing. it also looks like everything is tightened on it, ill double check, but nothing is loose like wiggly.

advan_racing, the seller i purchased them from, arent the greatest sellers. their product is good and packaging, but in order to contact them you have to go through ebay, then they e-mail you. and they dont send shipment info until you ask.

unfortunatly coilovers wont be on until the swap and i'm at a standstill until i get the money, but things are looking good.

coilovers:Packaging: A++ FedEx is the way to go when shipping, box was *perfect*Product Wrapping: Enough bubble wrap to keep it in shape, not so much to keep you out A++Product: Looks good, welds are good, will tell performance soon

stay tuned

sparknotes:- good clutch, car starts, locked out of all gears- start in gear it lurches so clutch holds. - filled master slave reservoir, was leaking fluid from 1" rubber nipple type - plug on transmission, doesnt seem to leak any more- clutch goes down but doesnt return (spring?)

EDIT:Thanks for the b-day wishes

I got some auto meter pro comp's... boost and oil pressure. they have like a brushed metal background

my brother had this problem with his ford probe gt, although different car sounds exactly like this, he had to get an entirely new clutch because his besically disentigrated and was in 3 pieces when the shop he took it to disassembled everything. it was rediculous. one question though, can u still shift by rev matching the gears?

GOT SOME PICS!!

The all awaited coilovers:Sorry for the cell phone pics :

If you guys ever ship anything and care, or you want good service, DEMAND FedEx. UPS is a joke, they wanted to leave my tires on main street outside because they were to lazy to bring them upstairs. On a different package they left 2 notice of missed delivery notices on a GLASS door with my dad, whos in a wheelchair, sitting on the other side. Just stuck the note and left, he was right there!

so, FedEx FTW!

Box was perfect

Despite advan_racing's TERRIBLE communication, they know how to wrap stuff up well. enough to protect but not so much so that your stuck out

and this is one of the welds, they look like this all around

Wheels: Sportmaxx (XXR) 002. 16x8 with 0 offset

Boxes were in awesome shape, thank you DHL.

Sweet, a FRAGILE sticker, at least they care

They were in a cocoon of packaging tape though, it literally took me almost 10 minutes to get inside...

BALLIN!

Wrapped in Hankook Ventus II 205/50

For my B-Day:Auto Meter Pro-Comp Boost and Oil Pressure

I have all the parts for a 5speed swap. How much are you looking to get for it.I figure it can't hurt to have an extra KA laying around and help fund the ebay project lol.I think I'm overdoing it, but I'll always have parts. Right now I have enough to build 3 engines, minus a block I sold. I have an auto transmission that I'm pretty much gong to be junking and a 5spd. I just kinda want an extra 5spd laying around in just in case too. Also, a fully assembled KA in case of the inevitable.

Ok so I spent some time reading this posy. through all the bitching and moaning I think he may be on to something. I was a bit skeptical at first on this whole ebay speal but I can certainly appreciate whats going on here. I can agree with some people about certain add ons to your car that I certainly wouldnt be ebay buying for my car, but as far as other **** such as exhaust/ lights/ intake blah blah I can agree that such a purchase for such a reduced price is certainly a dollar well spent wich can be saved for something name brand that will need to be replaced down the road where Quallity may be more of an issue. You have even got me a litte curious about what is lurking around on Ebay. Low and behold I found some nice smoked rear tail lights :D I even purchased some headers last night seeing as how every good header compant in existance for the KA is out if business or sold out. So indeed props to you man. I approve this theory and hope all works out well for you man keep up the intersting car build

Great thread you got here NismoDriver240I just recently purchased a 240, and have kept close tabs on your thread, since I'm also on a tight budget. Thanks to you, I've decided to purchase an APEXi Power Intake Filter plus an eBay intake, link here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1:

I'm also waiting for your review of the Goodspeed coilovers

Great job, keep it coming !

im sorry im sorry lol, the engine is coming out this weekend and the coils and wheels are going on, ill take before n after pics to show the difference in height cuz i head on a civic forum that they dont lower that much but it IS a civic forum so we'll see, then the new engine will be ordered monday and go in ASAP

EDIT:on the coilovers, when you get them double check all the hardware that it is in fact tight. even though it looks and feels it doesnt mean it is... i was preloading one of my coils and the top nut shot off. all is well, no stripping and i'm ok, but imagine if it were on the car or something. Measure twice act once
