I dont seem to know the problem here but here is my diagnostics...

everything is running fine, clutch is holding strong, no slips. i park and go to the mall, go back and start my car no problem, but the clutch feels hella loose. after i start it i go to put it in gear and nothing. blocked out of all gears. i know its still good because when i started it in gear it lurched forward so i turned it off in a hurry.

so now im thinking fluid. i go to a gas station, get some stp dot 3 and fill it up. the little that was left in the reservoir was really gunky and black. I go to town pumping the clutch to hopefully get the fluid running to no avail.

i then notice a spot under my car below the passenger side floor. its leaking the same color fluid as i put in.

now my question is, is it a line that blew off? or something different like the master or master slave cylinder itself? or could it be something different altogether?

i'm getting an engine swap soon, will the swap fix it or will i need something?

Thanks for any and all help NICO I'm so bummed

It could be any number of things. Best bet is to get under there and see where the fluid is leaking from.

I already took care of it. Move it along...nothing to see here.

forgot to take a pic, but i looked at it. its a rubber nipple type thing about an inch long that plugs directly into the transmission right below the passenger. i promise pics tomorrow. i think the new transmission will fix it tho so i'm going to do the swap within the month

bump... could it be the actual spring on the clutch pedal just isnt pushing it back up? but that still doesnt explain why im locked out of all my gears

Ah. Sorry. I just read the post before your last one. That's the clutch slave cylinder. The part shouldn't be too much. Replace it, do the clutch damper bypass if you already haven't done so and let me know if that solves it.

SEARCH N00B!

Lol. Kidding. Seriously though. Just do a search for "clutch damper" and you'll find a write-up I did a while back that gives instructions and pictures on how to do it. It's a piece of cake.

It may or may not. Depends. I'd replace it anyways.
