Yeah I put a freaking knife edge on those things. I'm actually going to go back in and take more material out when I go to rebuilding it again this time around. I think you'll notice a difference. I mean, if it only nets a few ponies its worth it, considering it was free.

That was my thought, and with that HKS turbo kit, I'm hoping for 400rwhp. If the porting only gains me 5% HP over stock, that's a 20hp gain, which is nothing to scoff at.

Nothing to scoff at at all! It definitely helped the boost threshold on my GT28. I make positive manifold pressure at 1500rpm. Not having my car sucks though. The e30 is awesome, but with 250k+ miles on her I can't really go abusing her with my usual donut sessions.

WOW! That is impressive. I'll have to see what happens with my high compression motor. I'm running a crappy SSAC manifold though, and you were probably using the stocker.

Your motor put out 400hp stock?

400 * 5% = 20

just sayin...

Apparently that wasn't clear enough. I think the HKS turbo kit I have will do 400rwhp on my motor before I ported the manifold. If the porting only gains me 5% more power, that will still yield me another 20 hp, which puts me at 420rwhp.

Is that easier to understand?

I think he understood initially, he just wanted to bust your balls. 420whp is a good number, lets just hope she doesn't smoke! Ahaha oh me.

I'll be a pretty happy camper if that actually happens.

Ok... I had read that, but when you said '5% over stock' my thought reverted back to the stock CA18. Gotcha!

420whp will be totally do-able with E85, which I think you planned on running right?

Yea, I'll be running E85. I'm thinking that coupled with my 10.2:1 compression ratio, the port work done to the manifold and head should get me there. The only thing IDK for sure about is the turbo. Since it's an HKS turbo, IDK if the compressor side has been modified or not, and if so, what that has done to the stock TO4E compressor map.

I just looked, it will get you there. That T04E compressor map is GOLD. Its almost identical to the TD06H 20G, which I know firsthand will make 400hp. My buddy makes 288AWHP in his little Subaru on 16psi with that turbo.

Long time, no update. See the first post. IDK WTF happened to all my pics. They disappeared in the move apparently.
