Yeah. The Prius isn't even part of the "unintended excelleration" recall. Which in fact, there are only 4 confirmed cases regarding that recall. All of witch are linked to floor mats. Not toyota floor mats but the owners installing 3 or 4 layers of floor mats so the pedal gets caught behind the mats when it's depressed. I would like to see his driver side floor board.hbpignosePA wrote:this is why i drive cars with a cable driven throttle

he was probably more afraid at the idea his s***box could go 90mph
and what nub dials 911 for that?
he probably is just trying to milk the situation/profit from a known problem
Two arguments, for and against your comment.MinisterofDOOM wrote:If 90mph is sufficient cause for you to panic, you need to start taking the bus. And definitely get off the same roads I drive on. Yeah, 90mph is above the speed limit. But it isn't really that fast. Certainly not so fast that you can't calmly try and shut off the car. Most traffic is probably going 75 anyway...15mph difference isn't exactly catastrophic unless you're such an incompetent driver that you have no business being behind the wheel of a car in the first place.

True but having a engine blow up could be catastrophic and killkrimsonviper wrote:Blown engine > Dead people
Don't they have like 135hp as combined between the anemic little 4 cylinder AND the electrical motors?hatedinthemind wrote:

2nd gen Prius's 1.5 liter gas engine makes 75hp.3rd gen has a 1.8 that makes 89hp.Sentientbydesign wrote:
