GT25R has an internal wastegate. If you are upgrading turbos, especially to 350 hp, you MUST get upgraded injectors, management, a metal headgasket, valvesprings, and ****er arm stopper. you can push it without it, but be ready to bebuild. Movingviolation has a GT25R and only had a rocker arm stopper installed, and I am pretty sure he had a metal headgasket. He mishifted and damaged his head. So take your measures. the above necessitites are pretty minimal to achieve 350 hp, compared to what you would have to do to get that amount reliable of power out of say, an H22, haha. Regarding S15 T28, son't count on making alot more than 300 rwhp with it. it's possible, but you need to be running very precise tuning using something like a Power FC or other standalone plus cams to sqweeze that much out of it. Have you seen the Forced Performance big T28? It's under $800 and will easily give you 320 hp, probably more.

I will have all the mentioned mods when doing the turbo as well as some more stuff like new manifold, O2 housing, stainless braided turbo lines, P&P head, hks cams, and maybe tomei solid lifter conversion.

I thought that Movingviolation just broke a rocker? I am not going to say that is minor, but I don't consider it "damaged his head". I did not think that he dropped any valves or broke valvesprings.

Thanks for the advise and maybe it can add to some other peoples knoledge of what is needed.

Also, just a rough estimate, but I figure this turbo upgrade thing is going to cost me about $4300-4500 for everything.

Well I'm definatly going to get the injectors and MAA those are already ordered. So what we need is like a power FC, top end rebuild, and then the turbo?Sounds simple enough. Now for this tunning thing, How many hours on the dyno does it usually take? Are we talking 10 or less or what?

Also running high boost affects absolutely nothing in your head... Head gasket is really the closest part to the head it affects unless you get detonation. then it will kill spark plugs...

I don't know about the hours for tuning, but you can ship your ECU to Secret Services in Tampa, they will mod it with a custom program close enough to your mods that you can get the car to them, they will ship it back, and then you drive to them for the final will dyno tune.

All included for $650. That what i'm going to do, but then again i'm a little closer to Tampa here in middle Alabama then TN.

I thought rocker arm stoppers and valve springs where on the top of the engine? Even if it does require the same work, the gt25r seems a hell of alot better of a turbo than the t28.

Keep in mind that the GT25R also comes in a .64AR that spools a little faster, but dosen't make quite the HP that the .86AR does.
