yeh in those pics his car isnt fully complete. We took that piping off and hes getting custom ones done to it. Hes putting the motor back in with his rebuilt transmission, and hes painting the cage and interior this weekend. Then after that its just wiring and a wrap and its ready to go!
cmoody2006 wrote:Looks good are you going to put rails running along the top of the door and down the a-pillar? What about along the bottom of the door? My step-dad has a bar that is removable that you can pull closed. It has a huge hinge on it and you can only open it when the door is open. Its weird but really cool. The drivers door opens this way / and the bar opens up this way \ if you get what i mean if not I can get him to send me some pictures of it. It has a handle with a solid metal rod that is spring compressed and when you put it in place you can lock it in there. Its interesting how it works. Its like a rod inside a tube that locks 2 tubes together. 0=0 if you can imagine that....
Im doing my cage similar to kazama's s15, im letting my fab guy do what he wants cuz hes not charging me his retail, and hes just that dam good haha.

Heres some suspension pieces i gave him for this season. Rnt i such a good friend?

His car will be ready pretty soon, just need to put the intercooler piping, custom wire harness, body kit, doors, interior, n its off to get wrapped.

that attaches and bolts into his seat. He has a custom seat rails to make him sit lower. The rail is actually pretty nice

Im going to be lowering my seat as well cuz i hate my head being two inches from the cage

That makes sense I love the holes you have in the sheet metal looking part are they for any special purpose or just for looks? Did you make them or did you buy them that way? I like the look of it. I now want to integrate it into my design for my cage i want to build.

I think they add strength to angles, I don't have the math stuff to tell you how much stronger but i know they do make the angles stronger

yeh ive seen ppl actually just put plating and not dimple die the metal. I guess it benefits the structure of a cage.
