I'm always talking about Altima Coupes, and I've never even been in one!!!Get on the donkey ladies and let's show eachother some hot s**t on our rides!!!

ANYONE ELSE AGREE? (now it'll take 4 days for someone to respond, after this post has been viewed 131 times)

Yeah, it's hard to get people motivated about these cars. I've come across only a handful of modded 3rd gens locally (by modded, I mean more than just rims and tint), and none of them are on any forums. There are so many more 3rd and 4th gen Altimas than 5th 6th and 7th gen Maximas, yet the ORG is a booming knowledge base. I'm on NissanClub regularly - it's a bit more active.

Ah, I've been waiting for you to say you got tint! Jeez. I have to get mine checked out sometime this week b/c my driver window has like 17 tiny holes in it and I am never able to get to the guy who did it. He better not charge me bc it came with a lifetime warranty. Something must be wrong with the window seams.

What percent tint did you get?

I f'd up my speedometer today trying to change the LED bulbs for the gauges - yeah, I recalibrated all 3 cluster gauges, but the 4th and most important, the speedometer, was working improperly and now isn't at all! (i had to vent about this)

Yeah..first thing I did was tint it....(for some reason I feel naked without them) I went with 20% in front and 5% in the rears...blends in beautifully.

Lol on the fact that u counted the little bubbles or holes on ur tints. Ha

You got balls for messing with the cluster and LED crap in the dash. I wouldn't mess with it. I personally like the amber color...

I just had my recall worked on and they said they couldnt fix the gauges for me, so Ill have to make them a bit more accurate.

. . . they also didnt know that in January 2009 they will be getting the new 370z. No one at the dealership knew, so I told the all about it.

I also looked at a new Maxima today - beautiful vehicle. Reminds me of a stealth shark!

Bryan, did u just recently turn 19? I swore just last week when I was checking your location it said u were 18 . . .

Also, I'm going to actually begin recruiting owners of 3rd Generation Altimas when I see them and get them to join Nico.

yeah the 370z is siiiiiiicccccckkk. i doubt its coming in 09' to be honest. Thats probably so enthusiasts can be hyped up. i say 2010 or 2011 latest.

+1 on the maxima comment. it was compared to the g8 in MotorTrend magazine. The G8 won obviously. Nonetheless the maxi is a classic.

Just looked at my profile. Does say im 19? im 18...

+1 on recruiting 3rd gen owners. Although VERY few around my house ill keep my eyes peeled too. The few ive seen were more into the BLING factor

how'd it go fixing the dash?

It's confirmed the 370z will debut at LA Auto Show in November, and hit dealerships in January 2009 (im going to save to buy one as a second car I think).

Bling 3rd gens are not cool, but black people do love my car lol

Fixing the dash is coming along. I am still off a tad with the speedometer - about 4-6 mph over the actual speed. I will recalibrate it tomorrow. I waited until the Gas Light came on, and just set the needle then to E and now it's fine, although it studders when it moves up at Start, it doesn't glide smoothly upward.

Today I got my Eibach on and my Oznium LED strips attached to my headlights. Below are pics of the Oznium strips. Let me know what you think:

Looks good! I personally would have gone with the audi r8 style. On the bottom of the headlight. Either way it'll look good and stand out a lot @ night.

WE NEED NIGHT SHOTS!!!!!!

Ugh, those pics were just when I was testing to see how they'd look. I have to call Oznium b/c the one strip flickers in a particular area (im sure u can guess im very upset about this - they should test all lights before sending out). Diesel, we can't fit the lights under the headlight in the 3rd generation. Dangeris_8 was able to fit his there because he has the Stillen front fascia, which allows him the 1/4 inch space to accomodate the strips in that location. I kind of like it though. It'll look great when I get them on and reapply the eyebrows. It'll look like lights are built into the body of the car since the eyebrows are fiberglass and appear as extensions of the body paneling.

When everything is corrected (on Ozniums end) and the install is complete, I'll send. Diesel, you should def invest $500 into the purchase and install of the EIbach Pro Kit. Definitely worth the money b/c it's appealing and def helps with handling. I love it. I feel like I could hang my hand out the window and touching the pavement lol

Im also on altimas.net more often. But I do check it out over here every now and again. I think those led strips might look meaner if only the strip across the top was there. But could you post up some more night shots (from further away) like everyone else said after you get them in running condition.

Thanks for the comment. I did do them myself, and temporarily connected them to my battery. Unfortunately I run to businesses for a living, so I never have time to complete my MODs. I will be having my electrics guy connect them to my parking light/signal combo. Once he does this (or I do it if I stop being lazy) they should blink with the blinkers and stay on with the parking lights. These utilized as turn signals will also ensure better "safety" for when I apply my eyelids, since they will partially cover the pre-existant turn signals.

Once I get them done, I'll be sure to take some photos during the process. The idea came from Dangeris_8. He has a posting under Interior/Exterior for the Altima Forums. His looks REAL SICK on his Code Red Altima Coupe. BTW - Welcome to Nico. I see you're fairly new. Enjoy the ride~

Gotta ask fellas...........I have done some searching, and cannot find the answer I seek. How much does a stock 2005 nissan altima se rim weigh? How much does a 2005 nissan altima se-r rim weigh? I came across a killer deal for a set of se-r's.......curious to know the weight difference if any. Thanks for any input

What is up with the rear fender gap being spot on but the front gap being about 2 inches?

I'm not a huge fan of chrome either, but since it was kept consistent throughout the car, it looks pretty good.

there is a front gap because the peeps at the body shop didnt do a good job fixing the front end from a recent accident. when i have time im going to take it back to get it fixed.. since i had it worked on when i lived in LA but know im in SD so its kinda far... but im also saving up to buy the stock lower ser grill and get it painted the same color as the car...
