Are you serious? I have about 14K in my car total and it makes 400 at the wheels,(includes buying the car and everything else I've done to it) and the only cheap no name ebay parts on the car is the front mount kit, turbo elbow, and down pipe.

Yes im serious tard did you not read the post. $3000 dollars for a S13 hatch. $2.2K for the motor/trans/ecu/harness. The other $2.8K went to the minor bolt-ons i have that are so minor i will call the motor stock. I have a boost controller, manifold, turbo elbow, downpipe, high flow cat, cat back, fmic, perma cool e-fan w/adjustable therm., turbo timer, kaaz lsd($800 dollars alone), body panels, drilled/slotted rotors, and a bunch of other stuff i don't feel like listing just to satisfy some cool guy on the internet.

Right after i said that i said that i should have done more research because i could have paid less, this is my first build and i was encouraging OP to go through with it and giving him some numbers since he was wondering what it might cost. I don't buy cheap crappy ebay parts either. The part of my build that i lost money to wasn't the engine or parts, it was the $3000 shell. It wasn't a 'shell' when i got it, a very good condition S13 actually, but i was still young and dumb and didn't know that i should have paid half that. I learned. My second car (1989 240 Coupe)(my daily driver while i build the SR20 hatch) costed me $1100 and i've had it half a year with no problems.

I don't give a s*** about your car making 400hp even if it is true, he was asking about the price of a basic swap to get the car running not making a mad tyte jdm drift machine killer like yours, fag. Cool you spent 6000 more dollars then me and your car has 400hp, but it's really gay that you think you're the s*** because of it. You are a better/more intelligent person than me because you have more horsepower even though you spent 6000 dollars? Okay. You win. =) You are 240SX modifying GOD. Please shed some wisdom on this new Nico member so that maybe one day he could be half as cool as you.

man the budgets you guys work with is some serious s***. Man get new friends, if he was a friend he would just f***ing do it. I did my buddies head gasket on his honda , I hate hondas, I charged him nothing....

anyways, no its not a good idea, what if the "tested~rebuilt" motor turns out to be s*** like many have, then you have to fight the company and more down time... rebuild the ka, have a shop do everything with a warranty for 3k. then slap the next grand into piecing a turbo kit together for a ka, buy used, run low boost on an fmu (8or less) with a little timing retard, bam more power than an sr and less money. And no wiring bulls***. Just my thoughts man.

I wasn't trying to provoke you, I was kind of in disbelief that you had spent so much on swapping a stock sr and purchasing a good conditon and running s13, but you didn't say a thing about spending anything on upgrades to the chassis in your first post.

You also apparently think alot higher of me and my abilities then I do, thanks for believing in me.

That was actually my first thought, but i cant find a shop around me who will do it. Just bunch of shadetree mechanics who have really bad track records with a few friends and family members who went to them. The only other option was to have a dealer do a new long block and they are charging more than 3K. I am still searching around. I gonna start looking for shops in a few cities next to me and see if that can become a more previlent option.

With that 5 grand budget you got you could def get the KA back running lol. I personally didnt jump in2 my sr swap until I KNEW i could get it running properly in a certain time period. Eventhough this swap comes with everything btw you should still budget to replace wut u got. As far as the wiring goes homie its easier than you think (alot easier than wiring up a honda swap). Even if you work on it twice a week with limited sr knowledge i'm bettin you could get the motor and tran in wit NO PROB in a months or less and running in 2

Reguardless of all the BS I thank you for your opinion and suggestions. You have to admit though that Kouki handled himself well after what you said. Cant believe this thread made it to TWO pages. Woot!

Thank you. I like to think I am a very capable person. Who would have know that Nico gives confidence boosts too. If i do the SR i definatly need it running in less than 2 months. Does it help that the swap comes with a complete wiring harness? (none of it cut)

He is much cooler than all of us, and I want to be just like him when I grow up.

Financial adviser? So by asking if you were serious, giving a rough estimate of the money I've wasted on my car, and telling where it has gotten me, has made me your financial adviser.

My first official action as your financial adviser is to quit, because you sir are an idiot.

Lol did i sound mad or something? I'm perfectly content with my build and the amount of money i have spent on it, regardless of some posers on the interwebz yO.

"yO im so jdm hYpE Yo, that my username is AMERICANIZED Japanese, cause no one in America gots programs for the characters."

speaking of getting ripped off, how much did your silvia run you fag? Could have just bought a 240sx but you just HAD to be JDM tyte yO so you could come to NICO and pop off at the mouth about hype this hype that. "Thats not a real silvia mine is mine is"

Im sure you get paid to be at work, not surfing nico you lazy mofo. It's funny i think Japanese people ACTUALLY have work ethic but you didn't want to copy that off of them, just their cars. Could do your job but you spend hours on Nico gaining a false sense of superiority instead. If you get off acting cool on the internet, no biggie, to each his own!

You don't have to hate me because im not offended by your 'flaming' (wow that even sounds gay) I promise it won't piss me off =) I was just a little annoyed the other day cause i hadn't had my GB's yet. Continue to be the ***hole jerk poopyhead that you are and i will continue to disregard your posts, the world/forum will go on

Lol are you guys all retarded? Its like all these 40 year olds on this site never graduated high school and somehow still got jobs and (in Koshins case, not yours) got nice cars. I hope one day those cars find respectable homes.

"Are you serious" (what a dumb question)"No you dumb f***, i just spent 5 minutes typing the worlds least funny joke that looks exactly like a legitimate response."

I once again don't care about your opinions on my build, i was giving my advice and suggestions to the OP. Didn't feel it necessary to list every part i got for $5000, i have an entire list in my build thread, where I (the only one who cares) cam see and keep track of them. I was giving him an estimate of the amount of money i spent on additional parts to install the SR that i decided to get, that he may also get because he is not just buying an engine but an entire car/project.

I did kind of over react to the 'are you serious' response but i just hate when people ask rhetorical questions. its even more retarded when people do it online. I should have taken my bong hits before i replied as to not offend JDM-poser-b**** and his a** munching friend, but i didnt, and don't really give a s*** that i offended two random strangers that are complete (very hypocritical) ***holes =)

Uh no see unlike you, im proud of being American and enjoy driving my lhd 240 with all of its lovely uSDMness. I wouldn't pay as much for some rhd garbage and you paid a thousand more than my already ridonkulous price. Sure it has an sr but the lhd conversion+$4000 for the car would put me where im at now. And my car is legally titled for however much road use i want...Whatever floats your boat poser.....I bet it make you feel cool driving on that side though haha you probably have some gay japanese characters tattooed on you for the ladies.
