Tell me what have you contributed to this board besides your terrible attitude and childish name calling. I only went to your profile to search for some of your posts to learn from your "experince" and all I have seen is worthless posts. You just waste your time here making fun of what you don't like, Please do us all a favor and leave at least Brian Helps you do nothing.

And By the way it says in my profile that I am 19 years old not 16 years old so I don't have any pimples on my face don't know if you went though puberty late but I didnt.

And by the way you keep saying your going to get rid of your Q45 well I am glad to hear that does that mean you won't waste your time here anymore?

No I was thinking about just cutting off the suitcase but that would be it. Or I would just put crome tips on the the suitcase.

I cut them off.I sounds coo but once you hit like 5000rpm it sounds like a raspy hot rod.It feels light to.I was thinking just going straight pipes from the cats i dunno though maybe i will. The cars quiet like it is with the suitcase, well a little bit when it's idling. You should try it. I'm thinking of getting headers made.

What he does'nt understand is that you never were really seeking any performce gain you just wanted sound and Yea I already knew they were part of the exhaust manifold and yes they would be kind of a worth less mod it might be easier to get the exhaust manifolds straight from Japan (Because the JDM ones don't have pre-cats) and the ECU is programed without them (Wes can hook you up with the ECU program)

But to be honest Qship96 in a couple of my threads you came along and said that you had experince and years with cars but you never gave me any advice if you were nice then we all would be nice to you.

I feel like I have slayed the dragon (Qship96) sadly it took a lot of pointless fighting.

Magazine numbers don't mean jack shiza. Just take a look at the Dodge SRT-4 (Turbo, lightweight, 5-speed, 0-60 under 6 seconds).. fasted FWD car on the market.

SRT-4 is the car I race the most... just have yet to see a stock one beat me 0-60. And this is with my slower 1994 Q.

Take a look at the M3... sure they are faster but never seen one pull away after 80MPH

This car is fast and even faster when it comes to gas.

Proved my point.Only cars that have pulled away were lets see corvette (yes i raced one knowing i'd lose), BMW 700 series forget which one,and a honda hatch gutted out with a b18 was ahead until i got room to pass him and then wooommmm i was gone!!!so i mean real talk my car maybe slower or faster then yours even if its the same car. It's all about maintaining and upgrades i mean custom ones for hp gain.

I was just thinking on making custom headers and then leaving the cats and go straight pipes.sound good?

Well why not just removing the cats all together and keeping only whats needed for emissions if you go that route. But I think at least you have to keep the 2 cats.

What about back pressure though?

BMW 7-series are slowww. The V12 has some balls but after 120mph the Q45 is still faster.

Maybe you can take your car to a performance shop and have them cut-off pre-cats. I had that choice when I was getting my exhaust done.. I should have done it since "passing" smog is not an issue for me. How unlucky I am to not take advantage of my luck.

Hey Qship,

Why do you have to be so negative! As someone already replied maybe you're angry because you Q is darn slow it can't beat a Bug. I have deferred maitained Q but I still beat the **** out of those stupid BMers and what have you.So, we are excited and motivated about doing things to make the Q even go faster or sound like a LION, it is solely the owner's descretion. And they're excited to share or ask something about it, they shouldn't be critisized about it.

I think I've made my point.

Some times it not about the car its about the driver and how good he is.

I would take that bet if you came to New England Dragway in New Hampshire.

Whats so special about your truck?

Most of the later 740i are limited to 130 mph in the USA.

Which is personality problems need to be on http://www.dearabby.com and not here.

If you want to talk about car cosmetics, take it to the VIP Forum please. We don't care what color of lipstick you like on a pig or how loud it farts.

Why not say to take it to a different forum site?Vip section is the same as this one. They ask help and show.Come on guys keep nicoclub.com drama free not just the q45 section.

The conclusion i think ima just see if i can custom make headers.

Dude, you live in California...your not going to pass smog tests anymore, that is a big issue and they will not really know why. Plus when you start to screw around with the 15+ year old rusty plumbing your going to have issues too..

If your looking for some ore ponies than look for a ECM chip upgrade, but your asking for problems with the state, you live in the hardest state in the nation to get smogged and your going to be doomed to not passing.

I gutted my precats because I was bored one afternoon. It may have made a little difference, but I dont really know. It seems to have a little more oomph on the top end... But that could be the placebo effect too. Only reason I did it is because I had the exhaust off anyway.
