I didn't really post anything on Zil, just a pic.

Short version: Dude randomly stops in an intersection while turning, I'm behind him, I brake, my wheels lock, I hit him, he drives off. I didn't get a plate #.

That's what happened.

Wanted to just chime in and say take a look at the Koyo N-flow. Its a triple pass radiator. Its what I run for my SR and it works damn good. Keeps temps around high 70's in 100+ degree heat.

So the Koyo N is a tipple core? Nice to know, I need one of those like yesterday.

Its a dual core, Its just a triple pass. Normal radiators are just single pass.

Here,

Triple pass,

Single pass,

It will, I went from running a regular Koyo, To my N-flow. With the regular I ran at 81C to 86C wile crusing. With the N-flow I usually stay around 71C. This was also with the Stock SR thermostat. I just installed my Nismo T-stat so I don't know what it runs now.

hmm I use a Ka rad, wonder if this works for that? Since the inlet/outlet are on the same sides.

I didn't know that about the Koyo N-flow either, so I just bought the regular Koyo. The N-flow was only about $30 more when I bought mine too oh well, my fault.

I would pony up for a nice Griffin dual-pass if I were ye'. You can get the inlets/outlets in any config you want, really.

I like my mishimoto one. Just a single pass. I'm welding up a new radiator support out of 2" and 1/2" tubing to fit the altima fans in with very much room to spare. Thermodynamic basics state that the more ambient air mass surrounding the object the faster the heat will dissipate.

Also, Quoting the owner of KOYO, "Dual-pass radiators work efficiently at high speeds in certain race-prepped systems, but do so at a cost of increased load on an engine's water pump, and inefficient low-speed cooling capacity, which can raise pressure and temperature to higher-than-desired levels."

You make a good point in regards to the increased load on the water pump. However, the LS6 should be able to handle that increased load.

The low-speed cooling won't be an issue on OutToWinPAHC's car because he has fans for his rad. I can understand those concerns for a race car without fans, though.

My dual pass keeps my car at around mid-70's when I'm just cruising around, and I can flip my fans on if I am in traffic or stopped for a while.

The high-speed cooling is where he will see the benefit (as you said) and that's what he's going after, I believe.

ORLY?.

My Normal Koyo would see temps of 90C in traffic(bumper to bumper). With my N-flow I DO NOT see temps above 80C. The N-Flow is hands down a better radiator.

This is in south east GA right on the coast. Its 90F+ almost every day with 100% humidity. More then half the summer has been a heat index. In fact, Just yesterday the thermometer outside my house said 106F.
