So I just finished up reading this thread, zerothread/273736on their coilovers and it turned into, "this coilover is better than this one blah blah..."

So who has these, and what do you think of them? If you could go back, would you save up a little more and get some "high profile" coilovers? and they're suspension arms, any one had any issues with them? Here is they're website incase you guys wanna visit it:http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?5

There are a few guys on here that rep the PBM's so hard, you'd think they were sponsored. Search out posts on the topic by Didderson, Mr.Greeneyes and I think White Comet, too... I'm pretty sure they all have these and they swear by them.

I have honestly not heard much bad about the PBM's. Excellent for the slammed look, low price/great quality. A little stiff for daily driving, but liveable. But I have heard concerns about the dampening bound & rebound tendancies. I wonder if that means bouncy?

I took it that these concerns aren't that bad unless you're doing lots of HPDE driving. Apparently they're great if you're planning a streetable drift car. Godd luck...

I have 'em, and love 'em.

I read a thread bashing on them a while back ago on, dare i say... zilvia, but none of them made comments worth hearing. Nothing but a bunch of "he said, she said , and i heard." They're only a $1000 so of course they're no Bilstein or zeal so please take those out of the equation and don't try comparing them b/c there is obviously no contest there. Another, they're built by drifters for drifters so don't complain about the spring rates or valving being "too" stiff and what not. I daily them with 2 clicks from hard and don't think they're that stiff at all. Perfect imo. Plus, with my crap less than 2" from the ground, I don't want much bump in my suspension. But if that still bothers you, PBM is kind enough to offer 6kg springs to switch in the back and move the 8kg to the front.

For $1000 + shipping, I don't think you can go wrong. I have their rucas also and plan on buying their toe arms in feb. Nothing special there unless you're slammed, but not bad in quality either.

Customer service is awesome. Dan helped me out with any questions i had. Everything from purchase, shipping, and installation. +1 for dan.

The only reason I went with pbm is b/c I wanted to try something new and different. I was tired of hearing "Stance this, Stance that, Megan blahblahblah." Max seemed right in the middle, so I just jumped in.

And boy am I glad i did.

I am going to purchase some coils and ruca's from them. How do you recommend I setup in terms of camber for a daily. I have the a piggy on the same stock wheels as you.

I am one who will rep them hard. I have had their coils for a little over half a year and let me tell you, these things are beefy as a motherscrewer. I live where some of the most horrible roads in the U.S. are and these things eat potholes like breakfast. These are competition coilovers.... if you have a vagina you may not like them because they can be harsher than others. Dan and the guys at PBM are great, and they definitely have credentials. If you want good customer service and beefy coils get these.. or you can stick with stance or megan.

actaully they are "budget" coilovers, as are Stance's, Megan's, and most everything under the $1500 mark

they are good for a DD and weekend warrior, most of what i have heard they are comparable to Stance and KTS, so around that level

this is an examle of off the shelf competition coilovers, most race teams have coilovers made to suit their needs, with custom dampening, rebound, bump dampening and bump rebound, along with custom spring rates

ive owned megan tracks on my last s14 and there nice and i loved them.but i want something different this timeand better.

Stance/PBM/BC/ or even another set of Megans.(streets this time)

im more concerned about longevity of the coilovers.i know they ride fine on the track/course.

^^^ I wanna know whose ride quality degraded & how quickly it did...

I'd really love to see video of cars rolling on different coils. The night before Christmas Eve, a white piggy hatch raced past me. My first thought was, 'Dayum! That ish is fast! Gotta be turbo'd!"

My second thought was "Why is his suspension so $hitty? His car is bouncin all over the road... I wanna ask him want coils he's running so I can know to never get that ish..."

I think ppl should start posting ride quality vids on youtube like we do exhaust vids. You drive your car while friends film your car from behind.

Wouldn't that be helpful?

Coilovers may be bumpy, but not "bouncy". Totally different.

True.I think Tony something (Gold s13 coupe everyone drools for) has had them for quite a while and says they're good as new. Plus, I believe they do shock replacements for like $100 or so. That's pretty damn cheap.

I've had my PBM coils for about a year and a half and I daily drive my car. They're the only coils I've had on my car so i have nothing else to compare to but i like them a lot. They seem beefy and not cheap at all. The car slides around really well on them too so daily driven or on the track they're good enough for me. As everyone else said, their customer service is awesome. The coils are still like the day i bought them so they don't wear out quickly.

Well, the vid won't tell you if you'll like how the car feels, but rather how the car looks driving down the road with it's particular setup...

Like I said in my last post, unless that guy was rolling on cut springs (which is a possibility, I guess), his slammed s13 had the bounciest (the best word to describe it...) ride I've ever seen...

As far as bumpy vs bouncy, I've heard K Sport coils and some others described as bouncy as well... Anyways... /threadjack

boucy is a good word to describe blown shocks.

coilovers dont make the the ride boucy, just a lot stiffer.

Yes these are no Zeal or 3,000 dollar coilovers, but they are competition coilovers whether you disagree or not. Eisuke (Parts shop max owner) competes with these coils in japan and so do many in the 626 scene. There is a D1 car with PBM suspension.

thats great , there are also teams in FD that run Stance but you wont hear anyone call them true competition coilovers, they are used because of there availibility, cost, and ease. They can pull these coils off the shelf if needed, slap them on and go, then turn around and use that as marketing, im not saying that they're not good, im just sayong that they're not true full race level coilovers
