Anyone having a problem with their power windows not wanting to go up or down? My driver side would glich once and a while but yesterday, it didnt want to go down at all. After about 5 mins driving it decided to work.

Im taking my car in for the 30,000 mile service and I'll have them address it, but just wondering if this is an iscolated thing or a common problem.

~Its great how the Z still gets so much attention and compliments~

Next time it hoses up and doesnt move ,hold the switch in the up or down position[which ever way its not going] and smack the inside of the door panel. Its probably a bad window motor. Have done several in the 350Z so its not isolated.

Fred I only know of the grease streak and limit setting TSB's. Granted I havent looked for any other window TSB's on the 350 in some time. Is there another you know of? I am out of the dealer for the next week. Will be a tech school finishing my last class for master nissan/infiniti tech certified.

Thanks NISTECH, the window didnt want to go down so I took your advice and tapped the middle of the door and it worked. The window also likes to go down half way by itself when I close the door too. So you believe its a bad motor? Where is the motor located because I have the door lined with dynomat, would that be a problem for the tech?

The motor is bad.yes he will tear it apart, if its stuck to the door, getting the motor out. If it is still warranty he will get payed less then what it will take him to do it.

The motor is located behind the big silver panel under your door panel. he has to remove all those 10mm bolts going around that plate just to get to that motor. So if your dynamat is covering those bolts he will have to tear it out.
