Power Window Problem 98 QX4 (Front Window Rolls UP and Down-- Nothing Else works)

Blue/Red is one of the motor wires, grounding it tells you the motor works but it tells you exactly zip about your problem. If you can't run the tests I suggested above on the switch and not on the motor, you will never get to the bottom of it.

UPDATE*** FIXED***

I know most forum posts never post fixes so here goes-- front sub switch was bad and they are all the same. so using the one from the rear i tried it on the front passenger and it works. and now all the windows work from the master switch on drivers side. So I need a new passenger front sub switch and a new master switch ended up being the issue. the bad switch showed up as two 12v + fees to the motor when in down. It was missing a ground true but the switch just wasn't working. With a new switch it goes up and down fine.

Thanks for the update. Yah, with 12V on both sides it had to mean a bad switch or bad wires, it's that "all grounds through the master" thing again. Very glad you got it fixed!
