found the connection for the power seat... its underneath at the front of the seat (driver side), closest side of the seat to the door. you can feel around for the cable and find the connection. take a flat head to it, viola, it pops off... so fear NOT takin your car to the dealer anymore!!!

**and its NOT WAY UNDER the seat, its almost in the open under and behind the kangaroo pouch

Lol. I was gonna say something stupid like, "Yea... like the dealer wouldn't be able to figure out what's wrong with the seat."

But then I thought about it... and they probably wouldn't.

Well, you could take them off...

It frustrates me when they move my seat to drive the car 10 feet, but definitely not enough to unplug the power seat. In my mind, I'd rather have them move the seat so they can actually drive the car than damage it (driving a manual transmission car with the seat way too close or way too far back can easily make you let the clutch out at the wrong time).

i'm with you on that AppleBonker... you never know if it's gonna be a really short person moving your car.. in that case they will NEED to move the seat. Just like my mom, when she has to move my car off the driveway so she can get out of the garage.. she's tiny, so she moves the seat as far forward as it can go, and she never moves it back! but at least she doesn't need to wake me up at 6AM to get me to move it myself...

I got the perfect height, perfect angle, perfect lean, just far back enuff so I don't look like my grandma, but just close enuff so I can ram into 5th gear.

If you are so anal about people driving your car, and you don't let anyone drive your car. They why unplug your seat? When you go to the dealer, can't you just say, Don't move my seat. lol

I suppose it'd be too much work to read the FSM and do the work on our car yourself....

Just seems silly to me to disable the seat positioner... but hey, it ain't my car.

lol you guys are pricks... as you guys can see, some people do feel what I'm sayin... so if you don't, then don't say anything. Apparently the thread wasn't for you - feel me? I didn't ask for opinions. if you don't understand that I pay for my car and wish for folks not to move my sh*t, then don't comment. When people post what I think is dumb sh*t I don't give them sh*t back. And remember tone is lost on here.

on a lighter note... I dropped my car off at the dealer today, and watched the guy struggle tryin to move my seat after I asked them not to. and then he asks, "did you kno your seat doesn't move", I said "yeah, I fixed it so you guys couldn't move it" LMFAO the service advisors started crackin up hahaha

Other than the few "winners" who have mommy and daddy pay for their ride, we ALL pay for our rides. Instead of disabling your seat and possibly making it impossible for others to drive your car in an emergency situation (though many of us would be torn to determine your injury as an emergency), why don't you just use visual markers in your car as a way to adjust your seat back?

I drive my wife's celica once in a blue moon and I usually put it back within 1 click of where it started because I have this amazing thing called a b-r-a-i-n.

EDIT- I just read through all of the comments and NOBODY was "feelin what you were sayin".

I get annoyed when my 10-way adjustable seat gets moved too, but I get a clue and just move it back.

Well, the good news is, you'll never have to worry about inadvertently moving the seat when you're in the middle of smoking a G35 or an A8.
