does anyone know what the ka block, internals, ect. are rated at as far as what is a safe amount of boost to run before needing to replace all the internals with forged parts. i am wanting to get the stage 2 turbonetics kit from treadstoneperformance.com and my budget will allow that but it wont leave room for forged internals for a few more months. i know its been posted before but i really run short on time with work and school so i dont have a lot of time to look for it. sorry for the repost.

SEARCH!!!! AHHH!!!

as for you question its all in the tuning, i seen people blow their motor on 5psi and other in 22psi. its all about control timing to prevent knock leading to detation. also montoring your a/f so when your on boost your not too lean.

as for a simple answer i wouldnt go over 9psi on a safc and retarding timing for the dis. cap, also it will not be wise to pull more the 4degress form the cap the car will run like sh*t off boost.

on a piggy back i wouldnt go past 16psi on stock internals. even if you have great fmu you still run the risk of blowing the motor.

and i would only go into 20psi with a meth/alc injection and good fmu (standalone or great piggyback).

well there are my recomendations other will disagree but over all the guide lines should be safe..

next time search please

That's pretty funny! Instead of the standard flaming, why not just put in an odd picture? Ha ha!!

Actually I did that, but thats cause I learn from the best.

But seriously brother, we love to have you aboard and hope you all the best. But think about it. This is a forum which has been around for about 10 years now.

And Im sure you are a smart person, in that case Im sure you figured out that this was covered before.

As to your question.

We have people that push 400rwhp with awesome tuning, but at the same time we have people that blow their motors at under 300 cause of crappy tuning.

Might help to mention the condition of the motor too. A strong running KA with out too many miles should be fairly safe and last a while up to 300HP. It can take more with good tuning but you are pushing your luck IMHO.
