Hey guys I've had the itch lately to trade my car in for a 3.5 SR. I like a lot of the new options offered in the 2010. I've been negotiating nonstop with a few dealers and so far this is the best deal I could find...

To trade in my 08' 2.5S with 40K miles, the dealer wants all of my aftermarket items + the OEM parts I kept for it. This includes, K&N cold air intake, NISMO exhaust, Grille, Kenwood DNX 5120, Tint, Alarm/Auto-Start. I currently owe $14,900 on the loan

I was trading this for a 2010 3.5S Coupe with the Premium + Leather package. The MSRP of this model is $31,550.

After everything I was able to talk the stealership down to $520/month for 60 Months + $500 down = $31,700 after trade in, taxes, fees & interest.

What do you guys think of this deal? All in all I would be paying less than $200 above the sticker after my total payoff. Do you think I could squeeze them for anymore money on this deal?

Well they are about covering what I owe on my car. They started off offering me $12,500 for my trade in that I owe $14,900. Originally they offered me over $650 a month for 60 months, now I have them down to $520.

Haha I wish. With the way these Massholes drive in the snow combined with the fact they all drive large SUVs I would prolly be dead in a week after one of them plow into me.

Good lord I am glad I got the 2.5. I don't think I would be willing to fork over $500+/month. But, it seems like you are getting a deal for what you want. I say do it!

I think you should try to get them to lower the price! You say you are going to be paying $200 OVER sticker?!?!?! Sticker price is already inflated! NEVER pay anything close to sticker!!! You should be looking to spend somewhere in the $29,000's. Remember, this is NOT a good time for dealers, being that 1) it is just after the holidays and not a lot of people are shopping for cars because they spent for Xmas 2) The economy is bad, so not a lot of people are shopping for cars and 3) it's wintertime and not a lot of people are shopping for cars.

I would say try for $29,000 out the door. If they refuse your offer, just walk, tell them "you know what, I don't NEED this new car. My car is fine" or something...they'll call you back!!!

Forgive, I don't think I was too clear. The car itself is not 31,700. The $31,700 is total payout for the car after my 60 month term. The $31,700 includes taxes, fees and finance charges.

The actual price of the car is in the low 29,000s from the sticker of $31, 550.

I am taking into account everything... trade-in + interest + down payment

Wow man, you really got raped on that one! Is your APR like 10%?

dude not even, im a first time buyer without a co signer so they raped me up the a** with a 24 % apr. i have always bought everything straight up cash so i have zero credit, they told me i can refinance in a year though and my payments will have a dramatic drop. on top of that my ins for the car is between 230 and 240 a month (just for the ac, dropped the bimmer because its just sitting in the shop) because i cant stop getting speeding tickets in the e30.

That may be the most obscene APR I have ever heard. You could have bought the car on a credit card with less interest

the longer you wait while paying that APR is the longer you are screwing yourself. With such a high APR, each month your $550 is going almost completely towards interest and not the principal amount of the loan

damnnnn, that sucks. you think it would be a bad idea to take her down to the dealership and see if i cant get into a used g? i should get lower apr and payments on something a few years older, right?

you could try, but something older doesn't mean you will get a better APR. You need to build up credit or get a cosign. Can your parents help you out by co-signing?

wow, that sucks and 24% APR!!! lol, isn't that borderline illegal?

My Mom co signed with me and I got 7.5% myself. I'm paying in the $500 range as well but for a fully loaded 3.5.

Another thing you have to consider is the credit is still not that great out there so if your credit isn't that great, you're not goin be able to get that good of a deal if one at all.

Just got them to finalize down to $515/month.

I would love the G37 but in Boston I would need the X which puts the price a bit out of my range right now

I'm staying in the family, I'll update pics once I get delivery today or tomorrow

Heh, I got it! Read your last post about the price including EVERYTHING so, yeah, I think $515/month is a solid deal for a brand new 3.5SR.
