hey guys im new here. i have a 02 wrx. mild mods such as turbo back exhaust, upipe, rom tune, brakes. BUT i really want a rwd car. basically i wanna sell my 02 wrx and put that money into a 240 including; complete s13 sr swap( i heard these hold better power then s14 sr and s15 sr), transmission, new brakes, new coilovers, LSD, radiator, new tires, turbo timer, test pipe, all gauges i need, some sort of fuel management and if any money left over put into engine.

do u think i should sell me subie or keep it? would i be disappointed with the s13? im not planning on keeping stock turbo if i get the s13 so more will be coming soon. will the car be a good daily driver and which car has more potential?

the 02 wrx transmission sucks. if i plan on doing anything big, i will have to replace the gears or get a sti transmission swap. and thats a lot of money i dont have. so basicly the wrx is staying at its level(220-230awhp if im lucky) unless i have a huge flow of money coming in?

what do u guys think?thanks

Keep your Wrx its's 5 years old dont sell that for a car that is 16+ years old. If you really want a 240 buy 1 with a blown engine and start replacing EVERYTHING. Not saying that the 240 is a pos but its around that time where every little thing is needing to be replaced. Pick one up as a project car, and then sell the wrx when the swap and everything is finished. No sence shooting ur self in the foot when you have a reliable car.

yea i might just buy the car. keep it in the drive way and save up money. once i have money for it i can build it up. and possibly keep both cars. that would be sick.

is 1900 buck too expensive for car that is gonna sit in my driveway till i get more $ to fix it. or should i go to a junk yard and buy a shell?

well in my opinion, i think you should buy a shell w/o the engine, less work or get one with a blown engine whatevers cheaper. the swap is pretty much bolt-on.

Yep thats what i would do. If you need any help man just let me know. I've spent some time under the hood, new hg and new turbo + lines and what not.

Ive got a buddy with the same stuff on his 02 WRX and his car in fun, but its not nearly as entertaining as mine, hes been after me for month to trade cars with him, find somone with SR swapped car and ride in it, youll be hooked for sure. morph is right though, dont go shootin yourself in the foot.

Yea, use the Scooby as your daily and have the 240 as a play car. I picked up my 240 for $300. Had a blown engine and trans but the body was in great shape.

Keep the Subie. There is no comparison between it and the 240. I cannot seem to understand why all the Subie guys want 240's. They require massive amounts of work.

i actually found a guy that has a s13 hatch with a stock blacktop swap with a bunch of other stuff (rims/interior) and i might work out a deal with him. he barley drove it b/c it was his like 3rd car. we might trade cars but i want to get a decent amount for my car plus his car.

what do u guys think of this deal?

i am willing to do the same with anyone else as well. if its a good deal. i saw posts from myees13 and xero1 . PM me if u are interested.

It depends alot of the details of both cars. I would say that in general a s13 with basic SR swap- maybe BPU, and entry level sus (shocks/springs) still comes up pretty short of a 2002-ish WRX in good shape. So yes, you should get a good amount of $$$ on top of the s13 for your WRX.

MYEEs13 hey i sent out two replies to the email u sent me before. i resent the replies to both emails you gave. its not my email cause i have sent and received other emails. but it probably went through this time. if not u live by usf and i go to usf too so we can just meet up. let me know if u didnt get the emails

TchouikoS13yea it is low. but it all depends on how good condition the 240 is and what is done to it that would factor in the price. it all depends but im looking for at AROUND 6 plus 240.
