It could be that I'm too paranoid, so take this with a grain of salt. I do need some other opinions on the matter though.

I was sitting on my porch with two of my friends when I noticed this car driving SLOWLY by. The two guys inside the car were staring out the window at my car in the driveway. As soon as the passenger noticed that I saw them looking at the car, he reached over and smacked his friend so that his friend would stop looking too.

I walked off of the porch and hit them up. The driver said some crap about whether or not my car is for sale. I told him no, but I know of one that is.

Then he starts asking me if it's a Honda, after not 30 seconds earlier drooling over it like he knew exactly what it is.

I told him to give me his number, and I'd put him in touch with someone who has a 240 for sale. He refused my offer of help, so obviously he isn't looking to buy a 240.

Needless to say, I took down their license plate and description after they left.

Oh, and to top it off, the Crips moved in. There's this fool always circling the neighborhood in a blue SUV, and I've seen him meet up with a couple of people, who match the description of people who have been caught on tape stealing packages out of peoples maillboxes. You know, black couple, man and woman walking around with a big EMPTY bag... wearing North Carolina jackets and Dodger hats.

You know, sometimes living in the ghetto sucks.

Car: installing stereo systems and minor performance upgrades

This maybe a stupid question but do you have a security system? If not get one. Also install some kill switches on the fuel system, ignition and other vital areas, each night hide tacks or small razor blades under the door latches with sticky tack or something similar. Buy a tire boot like the cops use on cars that sit for along time. If you install a Viper alarm or you already have a security system place security stickers from a different brand alarm(can sometimes confuse crooks that know wire diagrams for alarms). The close circuit cameras are a good investment have them hooked up to a time lapse video recorder. Search the internet and I'm sure youll find some good deals. Multiple sirens and strobes when security goes off. If you wanna get sinister and illegal.... remote tazer systems on the door handles, steering wheel, hood and hatch latches. Also illegal but fun and possibly deadly wire up a small fuel pump or solenoid to fuel lines with holes in the sides, wired up to a ingnitor so when the alarm goes off flames shoot out for under the sides of the car( a crook set aflame will most likely run from your car instead of stealing it). Instead of flames you could substitute with mace or tear gas either mounted under the hood, inside the car, in the trunk(remember this MIGHT stink the car up or stain upholstery)

These are all afew ideas that I learned in good old car audio & security install school. Enjoy:) If you plan on doing any of the illegal setups your going to have to have a friend who knows how to install alarms or make sure to read up on the basics of security electronics don't need to get flamed or tazered by your own car.

Oh almost forgot Even if you injure or acciedently kill a thief breaking into your ride you will be held responsible by the law.(one of the gayest rules i've heard but oh well) All that means is dispose of the body quickly and steathly. That is a joke unless your evil. Take the evil test in the thread on this board to see if its for you or not:)

One last thing wireless trip wires like the things at some stores where you open the door and break the beam and the door chimes. I know they make cheap ones for home use, putting them in the front of the driveway so when somebody walks up or drives in the chime in the house starts going off. Buy 4 of them and box your car in.Can't you tell I love security:)

That would so come in handy around certain parts of the city, say someone is trying to force your door open or trying to carjack you, flip a switch and instant electric shock field. Check this place out,http://www.amazing1.com/shocki...s.htmnot that I am comdoning such things, just saying it can be done.MECP, any simpler way you know of?

That pulsed shock one could do the trick, also that bottom one on the page, the Ignitor, would work perfect for the flame throwers:). Any way you'd run an isulated lead of wire to the areas your wanting to shock, like under the door handles, then strip the wire to bare copper under the handles so when they reach underneath their feet become the ground and a spark nails them in the hand. Wetting the ground around your car will help ground them easier for a bigger spark. I believe it runs on 12volts so you could just hook it right up to the security systems. You'd probaly have to use a relay between the thicker power wire for the tazer and the wire you'll tap into for the tazer to turn on and off. Theres alot of different wires you could tap like the blinking led for the security system, so every time the l.e.d. flashes it sends pulses from the tazer. Or hook it up so that when security is armed it constantly sends pulses(could drain your battery quick not sure its power draw). There are usually one or two extra channels on a security system for use like trunk pop and what not by pressing a certain buttons together. With this you could set it up for like a panic switch, your in sleeping your hear the alarm go off so now all you have to do is press your remote and set the tazer off.

The carjacking situation you could just wire it up to a push button switch mounted somewhere inside your car.

You should get the ones that police officers use that sends eletrical shocks up to like 20 feet.

Cause buying a real gun means that someone will get killed. it works both ways.

You shot the guy or the guy shots you

ummm, Tazers are just as much as the real deal, and they might be more then 20ft away pointing a real gun at you.

if you're gonna pull it they better be doing the same, otherwise it's a lil thing called Manslaughter/murder.

if someone is going to kill you, **** 'em, they deserve to die.

Tazers aren't 100 percent effective, plugging someone's *** however is. The jolt will usually knock a person down, but if they want it bad enough they can either rip the wires out or just try to keep going.

I've got that covered. I have enough high velocity capability in my house to put rounds through walls blocks away.

yeah, chances are they lack in tactics ans skills with them too though.

the best option is still moving, but when you think about it, if all we ever do is move, we're gonna run out of places to move to. we just gotta take a stand at some point and say "hey **** you, you start dragging down my neighborhood, I'm gonna drag you down the street by my goddamn car"

Vigilanteism isn't a good thing, but sometimes it's needed. Police help, but it requires more patrolling and more officers on the force. Their reaction time isn't always as fast as it needs to be. One must protect themselve instead of relying on others to do so.

I don't exactly live in the ghetto, but the ghetto is close enough that I have to deal with it. With regards to what m1rder said, he has a point. You need to work with the police and let them know what is going on in the neighborhood. You also need to be realistic enough to realize that there are more crooks than cops, and even sometimes the cops have agreements with the crooks. Luckily my neighborhood isn't one of those, the chief of police is seeing some lady who lives right up the street. They try to keep it safe, but they're straight up overwhelmed these days.

I'm actually working in Long Beach right now. Near Ocean and Pine. It's a very nice and apparently expensive area. Not more than 1 mile away and you're pretty much in the ghetto. It's actually like this in a lot of areas of Southern Cali.

Learn how to group a few bursts with this

1200 rounds per minute... you'll just saw them in half with a hail of lead.

BTW, to interchange the barrels (thing is case on bottom) you press the stamped lever forward to eject old barrel, align new barrel, pull lever back, lock lever, re-**** gun, commence firing. Ideally you have 3 barrels and a 3 man team (gunner, loader, and barrel man). Not that I've ever fired one :)
