It kind of reminds me of the damn liberals. :tisk:
He reminds me of me when I was young, I learned a LOT the hard way and for many of the reasons the OP gave- stubborn, headstrong, and capable at least up until that point.
My "learning" came from a POS big block Mustang Fastback I HAD to have, but my Dad had several concerns with that he voiced...and all came true, even though I was sure he was dead wrong.
So, the OP has ignored "Dad" (us), and will now proceed to plan B! :chuckle:

What do i look like coming here and having you guys hand feed me my decision? im no newb im not going to ask a question and soley go by your opinions & advice to make my decision.. I appreciate your opinions 100% and i take all of it into consideration. From what i have read here on the forum i will check all areas of concern on the 300zx plus the compression check. Im going to perform the test outlined in the Newb Guide & if it comes out bad then i will not do the trade. if everything checks out good then i will go for the trade. i feel like you guys think im the type of kid that is going to ask what mods to do for his car and then go by what everyone else says.. Im not like that i ask for opinions and advice so i can compare & contrast & expand my knowledge on the topic, then from there i will go of my knowledge and the guidelines provided to make the best informed decision. If test check out well i will be trading the Saturn.. And im not the type to get but hurt either i appreciate all input negative or not. Thanks for everything keep the input coming
If you really think this is the car for you then by all means follow your heart. No matter what problems you have along the way we will help you the best we can the entire time. :bigthumb:

Thank you and I hope not to disappoint you guys on here but i am set on doing the trade ONLY if the tests check out A/OK.. I will post pics tomorrow of everything and maybe even a video of it starting and all that. Lets see how this goes.. If the test don't check out i have lost nothing ill send the kid on his way back home with it.

Hey man no one here is trying to offend you or put down your decision but lots of us have dealt with these cars for a long enough time to know what things cost and how hard some things are hard to come by, I really sincerely hope you get everything you want out of this car but this one is very very rough and most of the experienced z guys would walk away at the mere sight of it. Do what you gotta do OP like I said earlier we are here to help just don't want to see you bitching about the problems you have with it if you get it and most of all like pointed out previously we don't want you to get a bad taste for these cars and then think they are crap. These are really great cars but they require dedication and a wallet to match, a Z is just like a model girlfriend, you'll be the envy of all your friends when you have one but you'll go broke and lose all your hair.

Glad you are taking this all as intended, we are DEFINITELY not against you in any way but really want you to have the best chance to get what you want and not get screwed or a bad taste about these cars. There's a s**t ton of systems and controls that have to be working correctly for a happy Z, and the cars that have not been well-maintained tend to have a lot of those problems.
Good to hear that you have a Z guru to confer with, that will be important along with your patience and ability to learn and search out solutions :dblthumb:

yeahhh, Injector won't cure knock. There's something wrong with it. The injector would make it sound like a Subaru and have an extreme lack of power. Never seen an injector make knock.

Agreed. Not sure how this Z "guru" was able to diagnose a bad injector from a low-quality video, but that's news to me.
