So let me start by saying how ****ing horrible Nissan's quality control has become! I'm so pissed off at the amount of stuff I've had to get replaced by the dealer! I'm sick and tired of wasting my time and going back and forth to the dealer every other week with some new god damn problem!!!

Just the other day I noticed a black piece of plastic that was sitting loose just between the space of the headliner and the sunroof, above the interior lights...this plastic piece just came right out...it was just sitting there....it looks like some sort of spacer...seems as if the glue didn't adhere properly and it came right off....you guys with sunroofs will notice there is a little tab type thing right in the centre of where the handle of the sunroof cover should come to rest......there is a spacer in there...but for some reason I also noticed there was double sided tape also in the same area...and the surrounding headliner seemed to have come loose from the roof....if anyone notices this please let me know!! I'm so sick and tired and frustrated...I LOVE MY CAR and I take care of it like a child...but finding faults like this all the time now is reallly making we wanna go punch some one at the dealership AND the ****ing asembly plant in Tenessee!

So far I've had to get (not in order)

1) The brake pedal replaced because it squeaked and it STILL hasn't completely stopped because apparently the light switches for the brake light will also have to be replaced...

2) Driver seat will be replaced because it has also started to squeak like ****ing rocking chair!

3) Passenger seat will also be replaced because the ****ing airbag sensor keeps lighting up telling me the passenger airbag is off even though I've got a grown adult sitting in it!!!!

4) I've had the Air Deflector recall part installed (ok no big deal)..

5) My very first repair had to be 2 transmission fluid lines plus a radiator replaced because the car was leaking transmission fluid!!!

6) Some ****ing monkey working in the shop at the dealership left a ****ing grease print on my headliner so they got that removed/steamed out, but its not 100% gone.

7) I also had to get a rubber moulding properly fitted where the trunk meets the rear seats.

I've had my car since JUNE and I've been in and out of the ****ing shop countless times now and now I got this stupid plastic piece bothering the **** out of me right after I got the brake pedal replaced; I still have to go back once they order in my new seats and brake light switches!!

I need your help guys, I don't know what to do, I wanna go rip someone's balls off at the dealership and stuff them down their throat.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking about just going to another dealership and telling them whats happened over at the other one and maybe they can do a better job?

I'm also VERY serious about writing Nissan Canada a letter stating the poor quality control that has gone into this vehicle. Some of us are paying close to 40 G's on these cars and this is the kinda BULL**** we have to deal with!? I mean I understand its a brand new car and I've got one of the first batches to be released in Canada anyways and can expect some first time issues...but this is ****ing ridiculous!!

I really need your opinions and advice!

Oh yah and another thing, you guys out there with the BOSE system...

Shut your windows, turn off the fan for the air/heat, shut off your radio....

If you think you hear static coming from the speakers.....you are right!

The ****ing system has static kinda like when you have a radio/stereo on but there is no music you can hear faint static.....but in this case the radio is off! There shouldn't be sound coming from the speakers!!!!

If anyone hears this too let me know....

In the meantime I'm writing up a formal letter/complaint to Nissan, I'm taking this as far as it goes.

I hear ya! This is my fourth Nissan, and by far, it has given me the most problems. I've only owned it for 2 months and there's a lot of nagging problems. I'm scheduled to take my car in tomorrow for 2 squaky seats. The driver side squeaks, and the passenger side creeks. I also have the airbag light coming on, on ocassion. The rear deck rattles and I had a dash rattle which I eliminated by removing and replacing the dash speaker.

I don't know how the lemon law applies in Canada....if I could go that route a get another car....I'd be so happy...I'm displeased with my car now...I almost feel like its pretty much been taken apart and put back together....god if I knew it was gonna have these many problems why do they even bother assembling it at the plant...why not send the body to the dealership and get their monkeys to assemble it there!!? I've had so many things replaced already its pathetic.

I feel sorry for you man. From what I've read, Canada doesn't really have a lemon law, but it depends on the province. But they do have a CAMVAP.

http://www.camvap.ca/

From the site: "The CANADIAN MOTOR VEHICLE ARBITRATION PLAN is a program where disputes between consumers and vehicle manufacturers about alleged manufacturing defects or implementation of the manufacturers' new vehicle warranty can be put before a neutral third party (arbitrator) for resolution."

Dunno if it'll help or not man...but I wish you the best.

Thanks guitarmn07....that was a very helpful link. I will go the distance with this and see what happens...I will first consult Nissan and another dealership...do everything I can before I take legal action.

It's a brand new car, I shouldn't even be near the dealership until my first oil change! But I guess that's in a perfect world...or rather other car manufacturers that don't see so many quality control problems...whoever they are.

I didn't want to see this, #5 especially! That's just wrong. Your list reminds me of my first LEMON, '99 Pontiac GrandAM/V6.

I wrote a letter to GM Canada. All they said was it's under warranty and talk to your dealership. This is why I dropped DOMESTICS.

So what do you expect from Nissan? Just curious.

Anyways, good luck!

I hear ya! My coupe has been in the shop for over a month total and I have only had it since June 25th. The whole headliner has been replaced along with all sorts of other electrical issues...lights, cruise control, etc…

I am in the process of working with the Better Business Bureau and their mediation/arbitration process. I have sent in all the paperwork and am just waiting to hear from them.

Really sucks we have to put up with this crap and go this far to get our issues properly resolved. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Sorry you've had so many issues, I've had no issues whatsoever. So it isn't always Nissan's issue

I've had some of the same issues!

1) My engine light came on. They had to replace a small part... can't remember what it was. (Leaking a small amount of fuel maybe)

2) The air deflector recall -- got that replaced.

3) The piece in my sunroof track was rattling and came out. They ordered the wrong part and then told me that the parts are on back order because they have to replace the entire track. Still haven't called me. They also left me nice little greasy finger smudges.

4) The dash panel underneath the steering column fell off - got that replaced.

5) Plastic cap on the end of the tracks of the passenger seat broke off... they didn't have that part available either.

6) My brakes were also squeaking, they replace the part with another one, but every once in a while I still hear the same damn noise.

7) I believe I'm also experiencing one of the same passenger air bag problems, but it seems to only happen with one of my friends.

8) My AUX link to my Ipod cuts out and only plays on the left side. I've gone through two of the AUX cords and my Ipod plays fine with headphones, but the Nissan dealership says they think its my Ipod. I'll have to try it with something else to be sure, but I doubt it.

I love the car in general, but the amount of problems and the multiple times I've been inconvenienced is ridiculous. I've been looking a little bit into the Lemon Law, but it doesn't look like these problems qualify in MN.

So to update everyone on the B-u-l-l-s-h-i-t problems ive been having; I dropped off my car at the dealership along with a list of all my problems and the service manager said he will investigate and fix as many as the problems as they can while they keep the car for 2 days.

So I called him just now and it turns out I'm gonna need a whole new headliner because this one has broke since it was starting to sag. They fixed the brake pedal squeak after replacing the pedal and light switches. I have to wait 2 weeks or so for the headliner to come in. The joint on the exhaust apparently isn't leaking anymore but I was told that condensation to be leaking is normal, but I've been told to drive it some more and see what happens basically. And I'm depressed....my Coupe feels like a piece of S-H-I-T now....

Hey man, good luck on getting that headliner in two weeks, it took my service department a month!

Actually, come to think of it, they said they recieved 6 of them by mistake because they had soo many requests in for my car alone. So, if you want to speed things along, you might want to tell your shop to get one from the dealer in Lafayette, IN, Kendrick Nissan.

Good luck man, I am working on getting a new one through the Better Business Bureau because of all the BS I have been through. I'll let you know how it goes.

I hear ya loud & clear! Here are some of my Coupe issues:

1) After about 700 miles, one of the rear speakers blew. I was told that I "must be blasting my music way too loud!" After weeks of waiting for the replacement speaker to come in, I left my Coupe at the dealership for the day, only to pick it up & be told that they ordered the wrong part. I was fumed! They finally replaced it w/a speaker from one of their floor models.

2) Since the beginning, the Passenger Airbag light comes on w/grown adults sitting in the seat; BUT, it only does this w/certain individuals so I've been unable to demonstrate or "prove" this to my dealership.

3) It's presently at the dealership (for the 3rd time) with the Service Engine linght on; I was told the last 2 times that I wasn't tightening the gas cap when I tank-up. (Obviously I must be a moron!) This problem first started at 3,360 miles (guess my car ran on air prior to that since I must not have been filling it w/gas & leaving the cap loose!) Anyhow, the dealership "fixed" the problem through 3,750 miles (when it came on again) and then they "fixed" it through 4,271 miles (when it came on again.) We'll see if maybe I can get a whole 600 miles out of them this time!

4) The dealership informed me (at my 1st visit) of "some" recalled part related to front-end collisions. Since I'm a woman, they explained it to me as follows: "Basically, if you get into a front-end collision, the present part would not protect the front end of the vehicle." They ordered this part & I've been waiting for it's arrival ever since....Anyone know what this part actually is & how urgent it is that I have it replaced?

To sum up, I'm TIRED of seeing my dealership! Overall, they've been professional about addressing my problems; however, I shouldn't be having problems at 4k miles! This is the 4th Nissan I've owned & by far the worst!

Vent control valve, controls the purging of the vapors in the gas tank to the charcoal canister.

I replaced a coupe backseat because someone from the factory put a cloth-wrapped seat into a coupe with leather interior!

I haven't seen any of your guys problems yet at work. We have sold probably 20 or more coupes already.

Ok so to start off, my center consol I think needs to be replaced, the cubby infront of the shifter wont close so Im assuming the center consol is to high? When I picked up my coupe (pre delivery inspection) I hopped in the back seat and noticed my floor mat was all twisted....went to move it and the track that the drivers seat sits on was busted (I like how my dealership tried to hide that), and then I had 3M put on my car....which is now peeling, allowing dirt to stick on underneath and scratch my paint (sorta makes it poitless to have paint protection). I consider this my dealerships fault however I need to know where I stand. Anyhow I've only had my coupe for 2 weeks and today my dealer calls me to tell me I can have all 3 things taken care of next Wednesday...Awesome, not really....he tells me to drop my car off at 730am and arrange with a nissan shuttle driver to drop me off at work? Are you freekin kidding me? I then told the guy that didnt work for me due to the fact that I have meetings all day through out the city, so he tells me " Well your going to have to RENT a car" So question is....Should they not cough up the $$ to rent me a car? why cant I have a loaner and how can they inconvenience me due to their negligence? Can/ should I file a complaint to Nissan Canada?

That Aux thing just started happening to me. But I think they're right, it's not the car. If I move the cable in all directions at the point it plugs into the stereo... there is no change in sound. But if I move it in all directions at the point where it plugs into the ipod... it cuts from playing on both speakers to just the right one. I think I need a new cable.

UPDATE on my situation...

Over the past few weeks I have been working with the Better Business Bureau. First, the BBB came to me and said Nissan would like to have a factory rep come and look at my vehicle and try and fix it (not the dealership), which a declined. They they come back with an offer of $1,000, which I declined. Now lady at the BBB said next thing I hear from her would be the date of the Arbitration hearing or that Nissan doesn’t want to arbitrate and is going to get me a new car. So, either way, things are finally coming together and it looks like I will be compensated for the negligence of the Nissan assembly factory and the ensuing problems with my car.

After reading this post, I went out to my car and rocked on both seats, turned off the radio and tried to listened for "static sounds and nothing. Guess my car was made midweek and not on a Monday or Friday. Hopefully it'll remain rock solid for years to come.

I had the same problem with the plastic clip between the headliner and the ventshade. My dealer had to order me another headliner cause they stated that the piece is actually attached to the headliner and i'm still waiting for the headliner to come in (2 months and still waiting).

I also have a problem with the passenger airbag sensor. The dealer told me that my passengers probably did not meet the weight requirement (dealer bull$#!T). So that also, is in the works.

I personally think that with all the problems that the A/C is having just recall all the 08 models and give us our money back for all the hardship we are going through. Notice that majority of the problems here in this forum are pretty much the same problems with other coupe owners.

Well my friend, goodluck with your battle with the stealership and " MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU "...

Hate to say it, but it looks like this is a perfect storm situation......

Lemon (Bad Luck) + Stealership (Idiots) + Canada (Just Kidding)

OK, putting off plans for moving north ...... But, on a serious note, push for all the clean-up till they can't fix things, then push for a replacement.

That's the price you pay to be the first kid on the block.....

Nissan quality is bad enough 3-4 years into a model year........1st year is hell.

However....I did own a 89 240 sx new....The quality was much better back then
