I thought the early 2000s GM V6 products suffered from coolant that ate the aluminum and then decided to leak both internally and externally.
At least that's what I smell every time I'm behind one.

There are lots of Pontiac's I would love to own, the early 70's being my favorite. I like that year Camaro as well. But I'd drive a bunch of them happily. Just because there are other options that may be better, doesn't somehow make everything else irrelevant. At least to me.

I loved my 1990 Formula. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was awesome cruising by the beach with the t-tops off back in 94.

Pontiac would be alive and well today if GM wasn't run by a bunch of idiots.

Essentially the same thing.

The Solstice also outsold the Miata for most of the years it was produced. The early NC Miata was a homely car with a waterbed ride (by comparison).

I think GM made a total profit of "negative millions of dollars" on the Kappa platform since it was neutered before volume could build.

Personally I always thought the Solstice was ugly as sin and when I drove one, it was surprisingly more cramped than a Miata. Now I always loved the body style of it's counterpart - the Saturn Sky, but I never really had a desire to own either of them. They have a lot of potential, but I would just assume to purchase a Miata or an S2000.

I always thought the Solstice (especially in hardtop GXP form) was gorgeous, and the sky looked like a turd. 7000% too much chrome and clear plastic on the Sky, for one thing, and nearly as much excess in sharp creases.

But even the soft-top Solstice looks great. It's also one of VERY VERY few convertibles to look just as good with the top up as with it down.

Both cars looked slightly dumpier due to the non-body-color windshield frame. YES I KNOW IT'S A CONVERTIBLE. THE TOP IS MADE OF CLOTH. Thanks for driving home that point with all the subtlety of an airdropped Cat 793D.

Yeah I never could get there on the Solstice. The front end was the worst part of it for me. I've always thought the Sky was classy and gorgeous ride, but again - I would prefer a Miata or an S2000 if i'm buying a roadster. Or better yet, considering how much a Sky costs i'd probably just buy a C5 Corvette instead.

I was always particularly fond of the GTA Trans Am though and the WS6 Trans Am. I used to adore the 04-06 GTO, but I think that has worn off over the past couple of years. I still like them, but I could live without them.
