SR are parts arent more expensive.

They have 2 times the aftermarket support than the KA has.

You can get almost ANYTHING for an SR these days.

Support for the Ka has doubled, maybe even tripled since i have been into this engine. We have a custom oil pan with a SR style sump(excessive), many high end/low end manifolds, even a twin scroll manifold, every gasket type available, FCW cranks, anything you could possibly want for a Ka is made at this point.

Maybe it was already mentioned but the ring lands are the KA's demise not the rods. I was too lazy to read all the posts so I apologize if this was already stated.

I'm running a T04B on my KA and the only SRs who could hang were pushing 12-14psi with full bolt-ons. That's with me boosting only 7psi...I love my 9.5:1 compression and massive torque!!!!

I flew by stock SR20DETs like they were N/A KA24Es. I destroyed a 2005 STi @14psi w/bolt-ons from a 60mph roll (at a track...) by 3 cars by the time we hit 95mph. I was proud to tell him "I'm sporting a bone stock KA boosting 7psi...". He didn't believe me.

Don't get me wrong, I have lots of respect for the SR. Around tight corners at the autocross, the KA most definitely reigns supreme.

No, the rods are the weak point if you tune properly.

There is something called dynamic displacement BTW. This has something to do with the F20C making 240bhp, and Formula engines making the power they do with low static displacement.

TOTALLY TRUE...

Avoid knock and the pistons have no issues.
