Im getting my 09 Versa this weekend, and am really looking forward to driving this little car to and from work every day. I like the way it drives and I *think* I like the way it looks. Anyway, whenever I see someone driving, it is always a female! Just wanted to see if my hypothesis holds any water. So what are you guys (or gals), Male or Female?

If my daughter were registered here she could give you at least one vote for females! She's the only one who drives her Versa, while my wife uses mine from time to time.

NY (and Im sure Ct) is very expensive, and I am paying 8.675% tax on it. I dont think I could get a better deal. About 18,800 out the door. Dont think I could do better. I have tried a few dealerships and this is the best I could do. The 09's are also more expensive and as others have said everyone wants a fuel efficient car now. Good luck to you!

You mean that's dirt cheap taxes. Here in Quebec: 13.5%.

Lucky I got an awesome bargain on my 08 SL CVT with ALL the goodies.

I really do not like the way it looks, but it was cheap and hopefully reliable.

Naw, only Michael Moore believes that.

And most Canadians are unhappy withour health care system -- it isn't working as well as it might. The non-profit-government-funded system is filled with bureaucrats and administrators. One actually said "the problem with the health care system is that there are too many sick people".

Not that I'm in favour of a for-profit system, by any means! Just that our "model" needs to go on a diet [without, of course, becoming anorexic]

I'm the owner (male). My daughter is the driver. She picked the "V" out & will buy it from me when done with college. So I will vote for female as the driver.

Around here most of the Versas we see are stock. They seem to be the family cars and just as likely to have a male or a female driving. The ones that have been customized (lowered, custom wheels, dark tinted glass, etc.) seem to be driven predominately by late teen or 20-something males. Those customized cars are probably about 20 percent of the Versas I see and the percentage is getting lower as the creature comforts of the car catch on with families.

So, the majority of the Versa drivers I see here are men.

Glad to see it's not as much of a "chick car" as I orginally thought it was!

I think males are more likely to go out and find websites to post on about their cars. (got to pimp the mods!)Most women aren't into that.

So maybe the poll just represents the % of Versa drivers (male or female) that web chat about it.

Add one to the female drivers please

I have yet to see one modified V out here .. and must admit that I see mostly women driving the V as well. I do see the occassional male driving, but not as often.

Personally, I love mine .. a few weeks ago my little 4 year old niece was in the backseat and said "Auntie, how come you bought a truck like mommy's ?" (my sister has a van lol). I told her it wasn't a "truck" .. that it was a car .. she was still adamant that it was my new van - and still is to this day.

It's a great little car .. and I am finally feeling comfortable enough to see just how zippy she is

Enjoy your new Versa !!

Well we do pay a lot in taxes for everything, so 'free' is not really the word. Plus, as frankohabs has said, it isn't working out that great. Wait times are ridiculous, and trying to get a doctor's apt is usually a nightmare. But I love living in Canada, so I won't really complain.
