Well we do pay a lot in taxes for everything, so 'free' is not really the word. Plus, as frankohabs has said, it isn't working out that great. Wait times are ridiculous, and trying to get a doctor's apt is usually a nightmare. But I love living in Canada, so I won't really complain.
I would love to protest with the Tea Party thing on Wednesday but I have class that day unfortunately.

Its funny, I am only 20 minutes from Hamilton, yet I experience none of the above. My doctor usually sees me the day I call, and if not, the next day, and in the last few years I haven't waited for more than 30 minutes at West Lincoln Memorial hospital in Grimsby. I guess its worth the drive to Grimsby lol.

Lol, lucky! If I need an apt with the doctor it usually takes a week or two to get an apt. It's ridiculous. But other than that Hamilton is a pretty okay place to live. I would rather live in the country because I hate having neighbours. Hopefully someday in the future I can live on a huge lot w/ neighbours far far away from me! haha

I clicked 'female' since it is first and foremost my wife's car, and she's put the lion's share of miles on our Versa.

And most Canadians are unhappy withour health care system -- it isn't working as well as it might. The non-profit-government-funded system is filled with bureaucrats and administrators. One actually said "the problem with the health care system is that there are too many sick people".

Not that I'm in favour of a for-profit system, by any means! Just that our "model" needs to go on a diet [without, of course, becoming anorexic]

All I can say is, Michael Moore is an idiot.

The sure way to mediocrity or worse. Without a profit, there is no incentive for private sector to develop new drugs or improve medical procedures. talented people will choose other career paths where they can make a profit. A very short sighted approach. Government has shown over and over again that they are unable to manage anything efficiently.

I like the way it drives and I *think* I like the way it looks. Anyway, whenever I see someone driving, it is always a female! Just wanted to see if my hypothesis holds any water. So what are you guys (or gals), Male or Female?
I usually only see old people driving V's in my area.

Female driver here who has also modded her car. I seem to see more young females and older males driving the V. It this forum there are definitely more males than females.

i have actually made a decent count out of all the versa owners around me, and of about 50 cars, i have seen 5 males, 2 of which where younger(teens-25) the rest of it is women, generally in there mid 30s or older, i saw one young female versa owner, also i try not to count the same car twice. as for the poll, i dont think car forums are highly populated by girls, theres kimber and thats pretty much it, so i dont think the poll justifys what the actual results.

Yeah, manvan nailed it:Forum membership is mostly male. So it's not a balanced pool to poll. Like going to a sports bar and asking how many Miata owners are girls. All of them will be guys because there will be almost exclusively guys to respond. The Versa forum is probably the least male-biased forum on NICO, but the bias is still there.

I'd say it's pretty even around here. I don't see a lot of teens/kids/20-somethings driving Versas around here, though. I also rarely see Versas full of people. Seems to me they're mostly commuter cars for single occupants.
greggie195 wrote:everyone wants a fuel efficient car now. Good luck to you!
I don't! Fuel efficiency is a non-issue.
