DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN the bolts. It will crack the composite material on the kinetix plenum.

Well the inside is smoother then stock and also it doesn't have the center screws. So It has a clearer air path. I honestly don't think there is any feel over a spacer. They should be pretty similar in gains. I do like how it doesn't get as hot as the stock plenum though. Anything that keeps heat down is a plus. Specially when it has to do with intakes.

You can combine a spacer with the kinetix plenum to add a few more HP. If you do that then the engine cover probably won't fit. Also you might not have clearance for a tower brace.

If you want engine response then go with under drive pulleys. I really forget how a stock G feels lol.

looking for torque more than horsepower. i dont want to rape it to get power. so mods that exploit torque in low revs appeal to me for the g.

i think i may still buy the grounding kit after the kenetix gets here. also i had a dream last night that i changed my spark plugs..so i think i will do that too..lol

You want mods that make your car more responsive. Get rid of the Stock cats, And get some underdrive pulleys. Also since you have a 03 sedan then you should probably convert to a mechanical fan. You will love your car after these mods.

yea, i like the fan idea, i would like to set it up so its not powered by a switch like yours is though.also whats this about a 05 rear end conversion?better gears?

in socal the CHP have roadside dyno smog checks randomly. i used to roll without cats for years in all my cars and trucks, but not anymore. maybe some good HFC, but no test pipes for me anymore.

On my list of things to do is build a fan replacement kit for the early sedans.

I feel like I've got too much on my plate as it its, but I'll announce when everything is done.

How do you thrash a flexible plastic spacer?

I dident know it was flexable @_@

I just assumed it was hard plastic. I'm pretty sure it will mess up if you over torque it. It's only plastic. Essentially its like putting plastic in a vice grip.

exactly it is slightly flexable, but if over torqued will have mean grooves in it like mine. i will post some pix along with the cracked upper plenum.

there is no problem with this install.i am back to square one...i will try and reset the ecu and TB...it sux, because ive tried before, and could not get it into check mode.

it all started when i modded the plenum to begin with....

pffft...

Didn't I tell you to troubleshoot the problem first before buying another plenum upper?

The offer still stands if you want some help. It took me 1 try and about 3 mins to do the ECU reset and throttle release learning.

Sweet. Wife and some family friends were out there last night at Shogun off of Margarita and Winchester getting some Teppanyaki.

I personally like their sushi better than Teppanyaki.

Anyways, make sure you don't dive into the same problems that broke you up lol.

Wow this thread is off topic

Just though of something...

You do realize that there is a Shogun in Corona right? It's on North McKinley next to the 24 hr Fitness.

Sorry, my head works in mysterious ways and I saw your post and it all clicked.

I'm going to assume that you either didn't know there was another Shogun, or the ex lives down there.
