Before everyone starts hatin', I didn't put this in the "gaming" subforum because I'm not talking about a particular game. For those of my generation, Playstation was a cultural phenomenon in how it changed the gaming landscape and the place of videogames in American society. This milestone also makes people my age feel old.
Technically, 9.9.2010 was the 15th Anniversary of the US Playstation launch (and the 11th Anniversary for the Dreamcast).
I was a high school freshman in 1995 when the system came out. I was a Sega devotee at the time and thus I didn't purchase one immediately. Like so many others, it took the Final Fantasy 7 launch to get me on the bandwagon, but I shortly began playing through the backlog.
I've been working on assembling the complete launch title lineup in original longbox format, but I'm still a few titles short.
This was the first console where I saw the tech demos and was really blown away.
