I remember ads for that Road Trip game, somewhere in one of my older EGM's.

The PS1 had so many epic games, I used to play on it all the time.

Einhander was awesome, I'm sad they aren't making newer ones. :(

lol, my cousin was a raging fan of both crash bandicoot and spyro. he bought all the installments for both and beat them. One game i remember that was an awesome tub of fun had 3 choices of either skateboard, rollerblades. or bicycle. the tracks were like obstacle course. The game itself came on one of those variety pack discs that you could buy with over 20 or so different games on them. Sad to say i can't remember the name of the game. does anyone know what i'm talking about?

Einhander was great, I haven't played it in ages.

If I could pick one thing to have for my PSX collection that isn't dev-related, it would be this. Elemental Gearbolt Assassin's Case Edition.

These were presented to a few people who won some Working Designs contest. I've seen them sell for ~$1,400. I'd pay that if I could find one.

My mom has my original PS1 and I got her one of the PS2 slims, she also has a Gamecube and if I can remember to source a fuse she'll have one of my 2 original Xbox's. My mom is a HUUUUUUUGE fan of the Tomb Raider series, that and the Army Men games.

With out a doubt this belongs in the "Gaming" forum. It isn't called "Video Game" forum, it's "Gaming", like gaming in general. In fact here is a post from Greg. He posted it in the right section 7 hours earlier than "lino". You can see the discrepancy in views and posts. Sub Forums are more dead than they should be.

Now with that being said, I don't care where you put it because I have tons of very interesting posts in "Computers / Electronics" that get 10 or 12 views so I don't blame you.

Back on track...
I never got my hands on a PS1, my parents didn't have much disposable income and so I got the N64 and fell in love. All my friends went the PS1 route so all I heard in school was about Crash Bandakoot, FF7, etc. It was a shame there were too really good systems out at the time and 90% of the titles were exclusive. But later in HS I purchased a PS2 for Gran Turismo 3 and 4. I never looked back. Got the PS3 December 15 of the year it came out.

I think I was in 4th grade when I got the first Playstation. My grandma actually got it for me.

The Twisted Metal games were really fun, especially the second one. Crash Team Racing also provided hours of entertainment with friends.

Earthworm jim was a SEGA game then went on to SNES. Was never on the PSX.
That game was possibly the hardest thing I've ever played.

Sh*t, you're right. Memory fail. I was still playing titles on the SNES when I started playing stuff on the PS1.

Earthworm Jim is now on the Xbox Live Arcade, so if you have a 360 and 800 MS points you can get it. They updated it to HD so you can enjoy playing it in it's classic graphics or in all new HD graphics.

I still own all of my PS1 and PS2 games as well as most of my N64 games, though I didn't have very many of them.

When I was in the Army we would have Goldeneye 64 battle royales with the whole floor stuffed in on room of the barracks, we would do 4 player games and if you died you had to switch out with another guy and wait for your turn to come up again. We had a handful of dudes that would just dominate and never have to sit out. Add beer to the mix and by the 3rd or 4th hour no one really got play for very long.

How about Driver and Driver 2? Those were fun. I have the original Grand Theft Auto which was horrible but worth hours of laughs. I enjoyed Parasite Eve a lot. The games I played the most were the Faceoff hockey series.

The Driver games were great. There is a new one called Driver: San Francisco or something like that coming out for PS3. It looks really.

I'm not sure if it was either 2xtreme or 3xtreme, but they both look similar to what i'm talking about. so i know for sure it was one of them. Whichever one it was, all i know is that me and my friends played that game for hours upon hours.

Still have 3 PS1s of various generations around. Sold my PS2 years ago and never bought a replacement. I had great times with my PS1, and still play a lot of those titles on my PS3.
TroubleBound wrote:Nintendo died after 64.
Are you f*** kidding me? GCN >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> N64
And things only got better from there

Windwaker, Double Dash, Metroid Prime/Echoes, Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, Pikmin, SSMB: Melee. Every one of those is BRILLIANT. And better than their N64 counterparts, for those that have them.

Then on Wii...
Twilight Princess, SMG 1 and 2, New Super Mario Bros, Metroid Corruption, SSMB: Brawl, Super Paper Mario, Radiant Dawn...

And that's not to mention all the DS titles, like Professor Layton, GTA: Chinatown Wars, Dementium, Bowser's Inside Story, Children of Mana, FF: Crystal Chronicles.

And THAT is ignoring all the updated ports of classics, like the improved GCN versions of Ocarina and Mask with non-eyebleeding texture resolutions, Kirby Superstar Ultra for DS, etc.

No, Nintendo is not only alive, they're taking over. Sure, they're not perfect (Other M was a massive disappointment) but they're still rocking hard.

If you ask me, Nintendo died WITH the N64, and the CGN was a much-needed pair of shock paddles that brought it back to life. Then the Wii was a shot of illegal growth hormones on top of that.

I, like MOD, found the N64 to not have many games I gave a s*** about.

the SNES is still the supreme Nintendo. I need to go get some 360 games...and dig out my old consoles and hook them up.

IDK maybe i should give Nintendo another chance, but tbh, it has a lot to do with the controllers. Playstation has kept it classy since ps1, adding only analogs and a few extra buttons/triggers. Nintendo you have to set up the little sensor thing and then point the one half of the controller and hold the other. Not enough buttons for games with many controls. Also a lot of the games require you to shake the controller and whatnot. I just want to press the buttons and have the screen do it. There are only a few instance where having the sensor thing MIGHT be cool, but i dont know how well they do it. I.e. lightsaber star wars games might be cool.
