Thanks guys for all the help on the interior water leak from air conditioner, the drain was plugged as yoou suggested.Another problem on my vert is the boot retainer that mounts on rear of rear seat, I tried the part number provided another reader but it doesnt seem to work. Any suggestions for finding this part?

Heh, you're trying to find a boot? As in the whole boot? Good luck. They are hard to come by, and when you DO find one they are usually $300 or $400. eBay and this forum are your best bets.

Is your's missing??? If so, you have no choice but to replace. If your current one is cracked, &/or no longer holds the boot lip down, try securing it (the retainer that is) to the car with some window urethane.

My retainer kept sliding off the metal flange when the boot got any wind pressure on it. I urethaned it to the flange, & voila - works like a charm.

Warning - the urethane is messy (& permanent) stuff. Be careful on your interior.

I'm the one who posted the part number. I'll go home and double check it tonight. What did dealership say? Not a valid number or it's no longer available?

Dealer and Parts Direct said its not a valid OEM Number where do I order that number from since parts direct shows it as boot retainer clip (correct description) but have order on hold for now. I sure would like to find one even used so I can use my like new boot without it blowing off on the interstate. When I tried E Bay it was like pulling teeth to get people to understand the description. Oh Well, thats the problems of driving a fifteen year old car I guess.Mine is a single owner (My Wife- a little old lady from Pensacola-not pasedena- with 138,000 like new miles)

i tried to order it from nissan about 2 months ago, and they claimed it was no longer available. there was some other parts i also tried to order for quarter windows that weren't available either. but it's worth a try to just order the clip seperately to see what they say.

Don't even bother. It's not available anymore. I checked it last week. I posted the part number, so many people bought it I guess.

I hope you get it but if you orderd it from the dealer i don't think you be getting one my frined tried and they told him the have no more. he said the only way to get it is if the dealer has it in stock.

CRAP!! Just got an email telling me that the item is no longer available. So they just canceled my order. Damn I should have ordered that last year when I first got the part number. Oh well...live and learn. If anyone finds a dealer that has some of these please let us know. Good luck to the others looking for one.

Nope. It can't be found in the U.S. dealerships, Nissan part depot or in Canada. This part is completely gone. Don't waste your time.
