well at the very most on this engine I would want to run 14 psi. could this be achieved safely on the hc set-up? I would like to run 7 psi on a daily basis though.i'm only looking for around 200-300 hp

or save the money, dont waste it on pistons and getting everything machined.... use it to buy more goodies for your turbo setup.... 9.5 is perfect for boost!!!!! why even bother to make 11.1:1 work!?!?!?

well its gonna take me a while to peice together a turbo kit no matter what. I'm not paying for the pistons i'm rebuilding a de and i had an e. so i'm just taking the pistons out of my e. and its easy hp.

i'm not saying it can't be done, but i wouldn't push 14psi on a high compression setup.

well how much hp would I be looking at. I'd probably go with 7 or 8 psi. I plan on running a t-25 or something close to it.

Dont run high comp pistons with boost..jsut don;t do it, unless you're using some seriously built internals...which you aren't.

if you plan on running boost the stock 9.5:1 compression is even higher than most people will tell you is optimal....

ratchet it up to 11.1:1 and you'll be detonating in no time without some serous work, forethought and money...

save the money on the pistons and elave it alon if you plan on running boost man, or buy lighter/stronger forged pistons with stock compression numbers...

but I thought as long as I have my fuel right, detonation wouldn't be a problem.

I think I'll just turbo my old e, and run this motor until i'm ready for boost.
