Aginst most of your judgements, I'm going to go along with her on this that they're just really close friends. She's never lied to me before so I'm going to believe her. Well I can tell you from past experience how THIS will go. She won't be willing to give up her "friend" in NY, regardless of whether she tells you she will or not.

If it were me, I would tell her that I'd like to meet him. After all, if they're just friends, then there shouldn't be a problem, right? Well, if she doesn't want you to meet him or talk to him or have any other kind of interaction with him at all, then that is an absolute bad sign. No two ways about it.

If this turns out to be the case, I would definitely give her the Pearl Necklace for Christmas and be on my merry freaking way. It will be difficult, but it's not worth your time or heartache to mess with. And you know this, MAN!

Her story is kind of plausible, but saying 'I love you' to any other man she's not blood-related to is inappropriate at best. She needs to go into the other room to have her conversations? You can make your leash as tight as you want, but in the end, a good relationship needs complete trust. If she's straying then that is a symptom, not the problem itself. that sucks dude. My advice would have been to tell her that it was a relief and that you were looking for an excuse to break up with her for about a month. This would have turned everything on her and made her think. If she said that was fine with her then you know what was going on. If she tried to fight to get you back then she would have been for real. As for the resolution, she is either being honest or she is one seriously evil *****- no offense. I am leaning towards the latter, but thats just an outsiders perspective. Sounds real scandalous to me.
