Just finished up the Turbo White Altima Coupe from SEMA. We added the Fox Marketing Side Skirts & Rear End Caps to the outside to complete a full body kit look. A very clean new Rockford Stereo in the truck to put a little bump in it. You guys saw the interior and Engine already so why repost right?

Also, took a really nice shot of the Cat Back Artisan Performance Exhaust, it sounds UNREAL!! Love it!!

Thanks for the update man I like it more with the rear caps. Where are the videos of either turbo cars actually running? Also, can we please get some info on the exhaust such as pricing, or maybe a video of the exhaust note? thnx

I sent Lighwurkz.com my lights and they did the all black housing for me, no gay overlay. It is done right, no issues, and it cost me $450 bucks. They can do anything custom, whatever you want for any vehicle. They do a lot of Lambo's, all kinds of high end cars. They are freakin' AWESOME!!

I also had them do my new Focus Coupe and they turned out perfect as well. Love the all back look, so classy! Cops can't mess with you, it looks OE.

the artisan performance exhaust info will have a thread with vids and pics when it's released i'm sure.

yo brian you bastid! you've got the two sickest coupes. the fm side skirts really do set the white coupe off. completely insanse.and the caps really do look good just attached and not molded.

the rear caps have a gap when viewed from behind.. i do agree they look better screwed in rather than molded. Just wish they fit better and didn't have the gap...

i actually think they look better molded myself, but look good screwed on as well. molding them will take some serious talent and will be a bit more pricey than simply screwing them on.

The Artisan exhaust is t-304 stainless exhaust with Artisan bullet tips. Comes v-band together and we can make it in 2.5" for all motor and 3" for you soon to be turbo guys. The exhaust is not mass produced yet but if someone wanted one now we could do a few of them with no issues.

retail cost would be $599 for 2.5" $799 for 3" and you can purchase them from ravspec or upscale auto both are vendors on here.

Thanks

I don't see any mufflers whats up with that and that won't make me fail my vehicle inspection will it? Also, would there be any way to get a sound clip of what the exhaust sounds like or any dyno type info? Thanks!

from what he said before, it depends on the tuning on how the inspection results will turn out as to whether the car will pass emissions or not. Also, the turbo acts as a muffler, so you want to the least restrictions possible to allow the turbo to push out all that exhaust more quickly, so it can spool up faster and produce quicker peak boost

Mufflers mostly keep exhaust noise down, whereas catalytic converters reduce toxicity of emissions.

Our kit still retains the stock catalytic converters so the car will most likely pass emissions, of course, depending on how strict your state laws are. We may offer the kit with a cat delete option sometime in the future for those who don't have to worry about passing emissions.

First off...Congrats Artisan, looks like you guys did a good job. Can't wait to see some results!

I am not trying to take away from Artisan but I want to shine a little light on the reality of getting aftermarket turbo kits emissions legal. To put it simply, try to find a street legal turbo kit for the 350Z and G35 crowd...You won't. Not because Jim Wolfe, Greddy, and the likes don't know how to tune because they definitely do. They are some of the best Nissan/Infiniti tuners in the world.

Here are a few problems with getting aftermarket turbo kits through CARB inspection.

1) It is against federal law to re-locate catalytic converters2) If you mount the cats behind the turbo you will have difficulty getting the cats to get to operating temperature within 60 seconds...Government standard. Because the turbo acts as a heat sink and robs all the heat necessary to warm the cats. (this is really the most important thing.) We have talked with many companies that have tried to do turbo's for the Z's and G's and this is the biggest problem they have...If you fail this step (step 1) you don't even get to move forward.3) You need to re-circulate the exhaust gas back through the engine to clean it...If this kit comes with a blow-off valve it will not do that.

We have a lot of experience with CARB as every supercharger we make or have made has been street legal. Also we do a lot of work with our intakes and various products to get them certified by CARB.

If you get pulled over with an emissions illegal part on your car it can be a major hassle. I got pulled over one time with my Titan. I had our supercharger kit on it but I had forgotten to put on the CARB E.O. number decal. The cop wrote me up for an emissions violation and I had to pay the fine, and smog referee testing...Even though the kit was 100% legal. I just made the mistake of forgetting the sticker.

Again, congratulations on developing a turbo kit for the 3.5's. I am sure it is a very nice kit and I am sure a lot of people will want it. I just wanted to let everyone know what the reality of legality is like.

Kyle, does that mean I should come by to get a CARB sticker for my Stillen exhaust + the Injen intake ?

I got pulled over for a bunch of things at the same time hahaha.

I was sitting at the stop light and the cop rolled next to me. I got a ticket for limo tint windows, too high, no mud flaps...all kinds of stuff.

I had a big sticker on the truck that said supercharged by STILLEN. So he wanted me to pop the hood and did not see the decal so he popped me.

Johnny_Don't worry about a CARB sticker for the exhaust. You don't need one for a cat-back exhaust.

On the intake, I don't think the Injen is CARB legal yet but I'm sure it will be. Once their kit gets certified we will work with Injen to distribute the decals. Realistically it's not a big deal. A cop won't think to look under the hood unless he hears something abnormal like a blower whine or blow-off valve.
