I know we have the KA-T websites and there has probably been a thread like this before, but hey I'm bored and we gotta break up all these old posts floating around anyways huh?

So post up the most recent pic youve got of your KA-T, maybe tell a little about it too.

Pic I took of mine today:

She cranks over now, but not gettin any fuel or spark just yet. Hopefully I'll get it all sorted out soon- my tax refund is going towards professional tuning so its gonna be up and running very soon I hope.

i have some cleaning up to do after the winter when i pull her back out. only visual thing missing in this picture is the MSD 7al-2

both of you guys have some sweet IC piping.

FIZ- i think you had your piping welded by CIP? where did you get the actually piping and/or how did you get it to shine so nice? i want to make some new piping just like yours

Daniel - what was the process you did for your valve cover? i want it to be a mirror after i install my new headgasket and studs after the winter

Lets try to keep every post containing a pic of your KAT. So we don't end up with a thread full of crap. It started off nice until the moderators chimed in...lol.

To polish the valve cover i used steel wool and mothers polish. i suggest removing it first. get a few different grades of steel wool. theres like 5 or 6 ranging from course to fine. I used the more course stuff. start with the course steel wool then move to the finer and when your done buff it with mothers polish. the longer you spend on it, the better it will look. i think i spent a good 3 or 4 hours on mine.

Yeah Jeff at CIP did the welding for me, I actually got the pipes through him as well. The pipes themselves were already mirror finish aluminum mandrel bends: VERY nice looking I gotta say. My end of it was pretty much to not scratch them up as much as possible. Thats why the intake pipe looks the best out of all of them heh, cause I had to touch it the least. Give Jeff a call. His prices on the pipes are semi-reasonable considering the quality you get, and (although I wouldnt reccomend doing the welding via mail or anything) he did a pretty nice job with the tig work also.

Oh heh and to keep this a photo-rich thread, another shot of the KA-T in progress. lol I swept the floor in the garage today so I had to take a pic. Usually theres crap everywhere:

daniel- you can clean up the positive wires next to the fuse box. if you open up the fuse box there is empty space inside. i did this and it looks a little better under the hood. just a thought. im gonna have to try to buff up my spare valve cover. thanks for the tips

LOL thanks, what can i say i have an EXTREME FEAR of all things hot (even though i live in houston).

But the heat blanket on the hood was more for looks, better than my tired old black one. And i just dont feel like bubbly P/S, and esp brake fluid.~Sam

Daniel, I polished it by hand. That was 4yrs ago before I was introduced to power tools...

Everything else, I've done w/ air tools...

Jesse

PS - Wait until I add my polished injector caps I think I'm starting to cross that unspoken line...
