I had to roll the back fenders beacuse it was rubbing. The tires are Falken FK-452: 245-35(F) and 275-35(R). The ride is awesome, doesnt feel rough at all on the Tien springs.[

Not bad

As a side note, it is incredible just how much the spoiler breaks the lines on the car.

It almost looks like a completely different car to mine

Drift, nice wheels looks great.

Mark, saw your listing for the JP kit, nice. Is the carbon fiber trim above the glove box JP? That positively looks sick and breaks up the sea of black nicely and elegantly. Gotta have it.Cheers,ML

Probably correct. Evidently he doesn't know or care.

Looks cooler, goes slower, stops later, rides worse.

... you mentioned a slight rub. i wonder if the 35series in the rear made a difference in that. 30series may have been on point. what do you think?

I guess my earlier post got chopped and edit'd. I was correct when I said what I said. Maxnix..... go away!

Wheels are one piece--I believe.

Who cares?

As I mentioned before I have the same size wheels, drop, etc. My rears are 275/30/20--no rub. :D

They look really nice on the car man!

BTW, does anyone want this car to be fast? If I want fast I certainly wouldn't buy a 4000 lb car.

Hard to tell from the photos a bit but did you also put a negative camber on the rear? I did some calculations and measurements and from stock you don't have a lot of room to work with before hitting the fender. I know you said you rolled the fender but just curious. In the pics close up it looks like negative camber but in the farther away shots it looks pretty flush.

You noticed that also..lol. No i didnt put a negative camber on it, but what it is, is that from the rear the tires are so wide and the back bumper flares in instead out, making it look like negative camber. But if there is any, it was done by itself.

Hello,How much different does your car drive with the addition of your wheels? I have never owned 20's and while I have used aftermarket wheels, it has always been to reduce unsprung weight. I think your wheels look great. Truly the most attractive wheels I have seen on an M. Really liked Mr. Mark's when he switched to these as well.Cheers,ML

Hey ML, It would not be noticeable to someone whos only driven the car once or twice, I feel it to be really sluggish to get up. Just for comparison, I tried to punch it around a corner w/ t/c off of course and i felt nothing..almost brought a tear to my eye. I said to myself..well its time to just cruise for awhile. But other than that its fine...top end is still good.

Right on. Again, props on a beautiful car. Obsidian Black looks awesome on the Y34. Unlike newer generation Infiniti's, the paint on the Y34 seems to hold up pretty well. Or I will at least say that there has seemed to be fewer complaints with 2003-2004 M's than the current M. Also, not near as many people using 3M's ClearBra.

I would guess it has to do with the platform on which the Y34 was based was released in 1999. Before Ghosn's myriad cost cutting and platform sharing implementations. I will certainly agree that the FM platform is dynamically superior. I do believe that interior fit and finish was better prior. Also, paint was not as environmentally legislated back then as well.Cheers,ML

They look nice...hopefully they hold up. ....good alternative if you don't want to spend $1,500 each for the JP Heritage III's...

I don't care what anyone says...your car is AWESOME!!! Good Job! From here on out, don't do anything but clean it, buff it, put gas in it, and enjoy the F out of driving it! It is perfect!

Hello,Pardon my ignorance as I thought the two wheels were the same. I had assumed that both cars were using JP Wheels. As I alluded to above, I am a relative neophyte to aftermarket wheels. Regardless, both cars look great.

MrMark, what is the trim piece above the glove box in your M? When perusing your pix, that interior shot with the carbon fiber really added a great deal to the right side of the interior. Truly loved it.Cheers,ML
