Look carefully at the name of the person who posted, it isn't Maxnix, it is rnaxnix.

Just want to make sure the oncoming storm is directed at the correct person.

I think he's running a wheel called Tork:

From what I can see, they are one piece wheels with the fake rivets. Pricing for 20" wheel/tire package is below $2k

The Junction Produce Heritage III's are true 3-piece wheels and are made by Work Wheels Japan.

Retail on just a set of 20" staggered will run you over $6k....wheel tire package will be over $7k.

As I tell my customers, you get what you pay for. I have to admit, the Tork are a very nice looking alternative to the JP's. At $6k per set, the JP's are really priced sooooper high. Not sure if I would have bougth them if I paid retail.

I usually don't endorse knock-offs, but the Tork do look pretty good. I hope the quality is there for the long run.

Oh, the piece above my glove box is a custom CF trim piece I had made.

Rims look great. It might just be me but that rear tire is too tall. I guess it looks to beefy to me.

I looked carefully and I know exactly who I was talking to. It might not be him but if you look close its rnaxnix..meaning putting the lower case r togehter with the lowercase n looks like an m and noticing he only has 1 post...looks like to me he just started a new screen name.

Yes they are Tork Icons, but just asking what do you mean getting what I paid for. I have not had any problems with these wheels what so ever and hopefully never will. These are the same wheels I had on a poll here about 4 months ago asking if anyone liked them. I would say they are knock off to the JP wheels but like you said 7g's is just plain crazy

True...the JP's are way over the top, but if you saw the two wheels together, there really is no comparison in quality. Most of the knockoff wheels are made buy the same manfufacturers, just badged differently. The knockoffs tend to use lower quality materials and manufacturing processes, which explains the price differential....name also has something to do with the price.

I always say, save up and buy the higher quality wheels, even if they are used. In the long run, they are a better investment. If you want to buy the knockoff brands, that's up to you, but the quality will not be the same. In some cases, you'll be OK....but in many cases, knockoffs tend to fail. I'm not saying the Tork will fail, but most likely they are made by the same manfufacturer as other knockoffs, which may have.

I just want to educate the members on the difference between OE and knockoff before they decide to purchase.

Still, the Tork looks like a similiar alternative.

PLEASE NOTE

The above comment was not made by maxnix but by another member that went to all the trouble to create a near duplicate account using the name rnaxnix (it's an r n, not an m) in an attempt to increase the animosity towards him .

These actions will not go un-addressed.

That is not maxnix. Somebody deliberately made a username that looks like his ... not appropriate.

We will deal with this issue.

I know Brian (maxnix) and he is not the kind of person who would do this kind of crap. It is obviously somebody else who has chosen to deliberately mess around in this manner. Unacceptable and we will work on dealing with it.

As a separate aside, while I note that Brian's posts are not always the most politically correctly stated and not always well taken, they are not necessarily inaccurate either. Brian has been a member of the Nissan Infiniti Owner's Club since well before it became NICO and has contributed his share of knowledge and understanding to the site.

This does not mean that he has complete latitude to go to extremes, so I ask him to be more politic too, but I also think people are being too quick to react to his posts.

I strongly suggest everyone lighten up and not look for ways to misinterpret posts in always the wrong way. If you don't agree with one of Brian's posts, say so objectively and why. Don't flame.

Thread is now locked.
