Aero kits are different along the bottom of the door, so I thought it was a different car.

So you want "less well done" flares? See what I can find...

homedepotSPL fender flares dont cost ghastly amounts of money.

i like some kinds of stuff, note me mentioning a wing. i am a huge fan of the old school look (small deep dish mesh wheels, fat fender flares, boxy aero) but by some cruel twist of fate i ended up with an s14 lol. but i just think s15 front end is really stupid. plus they put it on hondas and crap, who wants the same front end as a honda? :p

if you really want an s15 front end, just get an s15 imported and register it as a 240. like if you bought an auto s14, did manual swap, s15 frontend, sr20det, you would be out the same if not more cash if you just got one imported.

you got it the other way around. Some people do the s15 conversions(& SR20 swap) because its to expensive to import one and to legalize it here. Legalizing the car itself already doubles the price of the car. Why do you think Skyline GT-R's here are so expensive.

S15 silvia = No way in hell will you ever get this registered/imported/legalized, do a seacher and read one of the 2562348907561347890652893756023875 threads that say this. Its not posible unless you have a couple extra hundred thousand dollars and 4 extra s15 just lying around to do the crash and emmisions testing/modification required to legalize one. Oh yeah then you have to become a Registered Importer and what not. Or you could just buy one and watch it get crushed when customs doesnt release it to you.

where can you get a skyline cheap besides individuals that already bought them here and are "legalized"

as for registration stickers, skyline = maxima

I hope you're kidding:confused:

that's what I'm saying. Some people do the s15 conversion because it would cost tons of money to import/legalize one, BUT, other peeps do the conversion because it JDM TYTE YO:ylsuper

Personally I like classy kinda cars with speed. I think the s15 is classy compared to the popup lights although they are tight to. But the gold s15 style 240 up there is nice. I liek the s13 or with s15 face or jsut an s15 with no spoiler. looks kinda killa all lowered and dark. Is that front bumper the DRFT bumper?

i believe the gold s14 (with s15conv, wide body, 5zr's,"Also on cover of Import Tuner") was on the NICO buy/sell/trade forums a while back for 17grand or so.

i wasnt talking about getting one LEGALIZED, i was talking about getting one IMPORTED. put s15 in crate, label it as somthing besides s15 so you can get it out of customs, register as s14. yea its illegal but whatever, some of you guys might care about that but i sure dont.

its possible. I've seen a couple of s13 silvia's(one of them is a tommy kaira s13) on a trailer here in Cali....dont know where they going tho. if an s13 is possible, so is the s15

No, it really isnt. Do you really think customs WONT open up a large crate? Not only are they going to open it, they will search every inch of the car, after they dont find any drugs/bombs, they will crush it because it is in no way legal unless you have already filled out all the paper work to register it as a show car (in which case it can only stay in the states for 1 year and may not log over 2000miles).

S13's have been registered as s13's yes, but s15's share almost NO parts with s14's. s13's also only cost about 3000-5000 in japan as opposed to 15000-20000 for a s15, which is ALOT more to lose.

I guarentee you dont even have enough money to BUY a S15 let alone import one.

Isnt importing an s15 the same thing as importing a skyline? There are "some" individuals here in cali that drives GT-R's. My friend drives an R32 GT-R, how did he register it? I dont know, he'll let me know when I get one :D

Skylines are being imported because they have been legalized to some degree. The people who import Skylines have spent A LOT of time and money to get the cars to US. This includes having Skylines crashed, smog tested, etc..... Also, when they do get imported, you don't get the car once it hits the dock. The EPA, DOT, and DOL has to take the car and do further "tests" such as baking the car for 24 hours, freezing the car for another 24 hours, visual inspection, another safety inspection, emissions, and so on. You won't receive the car for almost 3 weeks after it arrives at the dock!!! I have 5 close friends here in WA that have bought Skylines (2 R32's, 2 R33's and 1 R34 which I must say is part of Team Do-Luck) and all 5 of them had to wait especially the R34.
