what I'm saying is....

IF theyre able to import and legalize skyline, they're able to do so on an s15. If MOTOREX or other Importer companies can bring the skyline, I'm pretty sure they're able to bring the s15 here.

No, they have to buy (x) number to turn over to the Feds to crash test, etc. Unless you want to pay to bring over 6-9 of them and plan to keep one, they won't do it. MOTOREX operates on Skylines only, that's why they can do it. They can't afford to bring over enough of different kinds of cars to have tested by the Feds and then start selling some to you at some sort of profit.

Legal is the thing here. There are legal ways, and illegal ways. I've seen Sunny GTIR's in the states before, and True S13 Silvias. I even saw a Lotus Elise 3 years ago and they just became legally imported into the US this year.

How many times have you been pulled over? How many times have the cops ever started to really go over the car, checking VINS and stuff? I've never had it happen and my car looks very little like it did originally and the color is totally different. Find a way to import the car (it happens more than you think) claim it as a scrap car, or parts or whatever, even if you ship the body in pieces, then find a car with a title in a junkyard, and register it. Bam, illegally registerd imported car that will more than likely never be caught.

Once again, you won't get it in here. Customs will pull open your crate and search the fool out of it. Unless you have filed showcar papers or otherwise they'll crush the thing before you can blink. Also, shipping is obtrusively expensive cross-continent last I looked. It won't happen, pure and simple.

But what theyre saying is people have done it, and will continue to do it. All you have to do is know the right people. plenty of cars have been illegally imported as "scrap" or a "front clip". Then all you have to do is register it as some sh!tty s14 laying around in some junkyard.
