it's just surface rust from break fluid. i't getting painted.s14brennen wrote:da** i hope thats not rust in the bay , looks like fun though, should be sweet ridin mail man style, n going through drive throughs backwards haha.
what about the alternator and starter wires. those thick *** wires. either way sucks.k00laid83 wrote:naw bro its not that bad trust me....i put the big fuse box under the drivers fender right next to my intercooler pipes and the other one thats orginally on the drivers side would just lay on the battery tray. then i just added a distribution block for the transmission harness and just hooked up all the wires that need power to it. plus im moving my battery to the trunk so the distribution block really helps out. and yes the fuse box in the car would be upside down but who cares i dont think that wouldnt of been a deal breaker for me to not make it look cleaner...plus if a fuse goes bad then you just look through and you just flip the diagram on the kick panel and find the blown fuse.
are you planning on installing the complete RHD heater/fan motor components?(all the parts under the dash)silviaS13lover wrote:i was gonna do that, but then the fuse box would be up side down and the main relay box under the hood would be on the otherside. i think. plus the jdm harness i got was ****ed up. extending those wires was a pain though. thanks
for real im stoked. my cars at th shop getting welded up.JDMZ32 wrote:for only $280? that's inspiring. nice!

iguess so... my car didn't have ac to begin with. any other 17 year olds successfully do rhd? don't hate..daconkiftador wrote:my honest opinion is this conversion seems to be pretty half ***. I "guess" I can understand not putting the heater/defrost back in if you dont drive the car ever in the winter or when its cold out; but hopefully your atleast going to switch the ebrake over to the correct side of the tunnel so the center console/radio surround can fit.
i just turned 18 in april. took a month to finish everything, day here and day threre kind of dealsilviaS13lover wrote: any other 17 year olds successfully do rhd? don't hate..
"successfully" doing a RHD conversion would mean that your wiring didnt look like ****, you used the proper harness, had a heater working so you could at least defog your windshield for safety, and didnt have a cracked-*** dash instead of a good condition USDM one. non performance modifications are also quite common in americas youth.silviaS13lover wrote:

I wasnt hating, I simply stated my honest opinion. sr20detRcr1, looks to me have successfully done a good/proper RHD conversion.silviaS13lover wrote:iguess so... my car didn't have ac to begin with. any other 17 year olds successfully do rhd? don't hate..
tampon??why the **** if i have money should i spend it on performance rather than looks? isn't that smart if teens spend on looks rather than performance due to immaturity?mrgreeneyes wrote:

it looks like a $280 "conversion". props for trying i guess. most times a flawless execution of a small project will top a half-*** execution of a large project.
