It cost you $250 to paint maybe 2 sq. feet of space? :bowrofl:

You're in a class of ballerdom all by yourself.

By definition manly is to be functional... wonder what it means to be purely cosmetic... :chuckle:

+ 1 you didn't raise your truck

-1 your headlights bring you one step closer to looking like a chevy, granted that old setup looks very dated

+1 you didn't change your wheel size... this is a way for the auto transmission to go bust

-1 you added more chrome... fake chrome too..

+1 your truck is very presentable

+1 you scored yourself a deal.

F250 is a good truck, granted the bodies are not what they used to be ... they dent easy and disappear a soon as rust forms. 7.3 is a durable engine. 6.0 needs new aftermarket head gaskets, some arp head studs, and blocking egr to make it durable.

Eventually I like to get a 99-03 7.3L wedgewood blue truck to do my dirty work. When I get it, I would like to do some preventative maintenance, in involves exposing the rails and underside of the bed and cab. I intend to keep it a long time.

Anyways, aside from all things... how are your front ball bearings and joints?

You could have saved yourself $1798 and bought a can of primer and a can of white spray paint and gotten the same effect.

You and every other 240/cheap a** car owner out there.

"Oh, lets just rattle can it!!!lo!1!! It'll match!

The shop I usually use wanted $600.00. That's about the average price to get mirrors painted. I hear it's a pain in the a** to get the paint on there evenly when the mirror has so many grooves. I went to a shop in a city about 50 miles away where I know the manager and do business with him often. He gave me a super deal. Also I was just at the local hardware store and a can of white spray paint costs a few cents under $7.00. I'm guessing i would need 4 cans (including primer).

most of the stuff I did made it more functional. :gapteeth:

The ball joints were replaced about 90,000 miles ago. I replaced the clutch about 40,000 miles ago (the stock clutch lasted 240,000 miles :mike ). I don't know if the front ball bearings have been redone yet. The tires don't lean at all so I'm assuming they have. The front hub lockers were also replaced for some higher quality "Warn" brand. I've replaced one tie rod end.

As far as the other lights go they were already smoked when I got them.
