You're probably wondering why in hell I would spend that much money on an old truck with 300,000 miles. Well. . . for all of the above I ended up spending about $3,200. I had a good reason for doing everything I did. In my rim/tire business I ran into this new setup for only $250 so I slapped them on there. Both the mirrors were broken and about to fall off. One of the tail lights was melted inside and couldn't be repaired. The 3rd brake light was also melted and didn't work. For the new front end the only thing I had to pay for was the paint on the front piece. In trade for the new bumper, headlights, grill I had to work my a** off for 2 days. It came off a wrecked truck which was owned by an uncle of mine. The old headlights were so fogged they couldn't be buffed clean - it was almost impossible to see anything while driving at night. The other nerf bars were bent and a friend of mine who is a manager at a Ford dealer in Phoenix gave me the nerf bars because the shop lost the mounting hardware. . . I already had the mounting hardware but I had to spend a few hours modifying it.
I spent a good 12 hours mounting the cab lights and wiring them in. I had to drill 5 massive holes in the roof and run the wiring to the markers. It took me about 12 more hours to correctly wire the new mirrors to fit my stock switch. I added a switch for the heat and wired the corner blinkers and markers into my stock markers. While I was at it I ran the wires for the front driving lights which was a real b****. I got some nice switches inside the cab to run them. Another think I did was plumbed my 100 gallon transfer tank into my stock tank so I can go on long trips without stopping for fuel - that little project took me a full day even with access to all the nice tools and a lift. One other little mod I did was getting the windshield tinted with 50% tint. These Arizona summers are damn hot.
So after all that here are the finish pics:
