I would love to "crawl malls" in that "poser" Way too nice, way too clean, way too expensive to take off roading -- unless you are swimming in cash. Best to get a second vehicle, smaller, cheaper, shorter wheelbase, non plastic bumpers, etc for off roading.

I want an R51 "mall crawler" now just like Salems!

he proclaims his R51 as NOT a mall cruiser. sorry, but it is. the thing has never been off road. and you're right, it may be too nice and too expensive and too clean to take off road. so then why is it lifted? BECAUSE IT'S A MALL CRAWLER.

Let me see your socalled "crawler".... and yes it does go off road, to get to my remote fishing spots in my canoe. So dont go talkin s*** on something you know absolutely nothing about. It's been muddy before, there is something called soap and water and wax, I take care and care about my vehicles. I just dont act like a D/A when I take it to the ORV trails and I'm not there to "challenge" anybody at rock crawling. I'm there to get where I wanna go with a little more clearance and bite so I have less of a chance of getting stuck in a deep rut. And yes my wife likes to take it to the mall to go shopping cause she can fit way more stuff in it than her Altima

Oh...... and here it is with the canoe on for all you fellow posers

OK... seriously, I'm not on NICO to sit there and try and bash someone form 1000 mi away just because I want to brag about how well I can go through trails. I don't take youtube vids of my truck and post it to brag about how I followed a Jeep through the dirt. I'm mostly on NICO to gain knowledge and share my knowledge when somebody needs it. All I did is post up some pics of my pathy all cleaned up sitting in my driveway with its new setup. If you feel compelled to leave an opinion (as you have) then do so, but as far as making a personal attack at what I do or where I go then stay off of the thread. I think your Pathfinder is nice, if thats yours in the vid. But again I'm not here to compete in some internet rock/dirt crawling, I really don't care about doing that kind of stuff and I'm not trying to prove that I do. I have a hobby that requires me to get into some spots that I do have to use 4wd and extra clearance helps. So, again, don't bash what you don't know... you don't know me.

As for all of the other compliments/opinions from fellow NICO members... thank you

if you had nothing to prove, if you weren't on here to brag about following a Jeep through the dirt, you wouldn't have opened this thread with the line, "and something for the R51 haters that say they are mall cruisers."

my post wasn't so much a personal attack, as much as it was an observation that you're full of s***. have a nice day.

Hi Salem,

Truck looks great! I was wondering, I thought that the Rancho Quicklifts were only made for the front axle and they recommend using the 9000xl with spacers for the rear. Did you have any problems installing the quicklifts in the rear and what was your reasoning behind putting them on all fours?

I test drove that gen of xterras, I really loved it, felt really solid except the mileage was a little too high so I settled on an r50 pathfinder

Honestly I think this stigma that "you can only have a lift if you rock crawl (beat the s*** out of your vehicle)" is plain dumb, if you do anything outdoors where a little extra clearance and larger tires gives you a slight upper hand I would think it's acceptable. Let people do what they want and stop acting like elitist pricks.

I figure it was time to share some pics wtih my fellow NICO members.

How much lift did you get? and does your steering wobble at high speed? did you use ring centric?

Where about are you. I did have a lift from EMU 3 inch major problem with aliment I replace it back to Factory spring.and now i have 18 " Fuel wheel it wobble at high speed ballance twice it stiil wobble.
I'M thinking of Calmini lift 5"

The "QuickLift" for the rear are the Armada urethane spacers and 9000xl shocks and in hindsight I would've used Old Man Emu rear springs instead of the spacers. The OME springs raise it up 2 1/2" in the rear vs. 1 3/4" for the spacers, which the front is raised 2 1/2". So, I have to keep air in my rear bags to level it out. The whole lift was easy to install except the front coils were a pain to compress, they are heavy mofo's.

no ring centric, just lug centric. I don't have any problems, I just torque them in the air. And the alignment is set to factory spec with no problem.

What year is yours? the rear on the '05 I beleive are the only ones with rear camber/toe cam adjuster. The calmini lift looks sweet but only improves ramp angles and not travel & suspension height. Try torquing the wheels in the air, it works for mine.
