Ok, I'm soliciting all of your not-so-humble opinions on what I should do for my next car as I have sold my '92 240 coupe. I'm looking for something faster and maybe have room for more than one other person. I'm not against another 240, but am leaning more toward a Q or a Maxima. Vote on the poll or suggest something I haven't thought of. Thanks for your help!Repo's Next Car

Why get another 240 when you would be hard pressed, even with more money, to get one as good as the one you just sold?

There are several Q's for sale right now out of this community, they are several thousand $$ worth in better shape, than what you could get off the street.

Go for it man, now is your chance!

Fred...:)

Hey Sammy Slicktires-Subaru is offering 0% financing on the new WRX. That way you wont have an embarrassing mishap like you did today in the snow.

Or, you could buy my 240

350Z!! oh wait.. nevermind. two-seater (hey, but more power, and it's not like you've used your 240's back seats that often right?)

other than that, i'd say a Maxima would be cool too. woowoo.

Yeah - After all, very few INEXPERIENCED drivers can handle 300 hp.

Plus, think of all the women that will throw themselves at you. No sir, driving a Q is NOT child's play.

If I wanted more room and performance... I'd go Altima 3.5se or a Spec-V SE-R.... 4 doors and tons of get-up! I'd consider the Maxima.... but gas prices are actually becoming a consideration lately.

But I vted for the 240, Repo... gotta stick with the home team bro!

Repo. How much do you want to spend? You'll get better ideas if we knew that.

I put a maxima Repo. The cost of keeping the max in running condition is a fraction of the Q.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Whatever I get will be bought and paid for with cash, so a new car is really not an option. I would love to have a new Altima 3.5 or a G35, but it's not in the cards just yet. And much thanks to Cold_Zero for telling everyone I got the truck stuck in his apartment complex. Original tires on a 74k mile truck, can't imagine why they didn't grip.

My price range would be $6k or under. Unless of course I happen to hit the Powerball...

Coming from a guy who owns choices 1 & 2, has family members with I30's and Maxima's, the choice is not even close. Stock for stock and for the price, the Q destroys the rest.

In one fell swoop, you'll own an "infamous" cult-car, legendary lux sedan, an engineering icon, a stand-out amongst Nissan fearsome early 90's lineup, an unfairly underrated performance bargain, a legendary technical marvel that'll oohs-ahs from those "in-the-know" two decades from now and since your THE REPO MAN, this is amongst one of the greatest getaway vehicles ever made. Clive Owen eat your heart out!

In short, one ****ING awesome car and don't think I'm biased because I'm trying to sell mine either. :ylsuper

Oh come on lets face it, your not getting any younger, a 240 would not be practical anymore. A fourth gen maxima is probably out of your league. Just get a first gen Q save money and use your knowledge as an advantage.

Sope, have you not sold yours yet? You're wanting $4500, right? We may have to talk. Depends on my job situation. I'll know more this week.

Tino, what are you talking about? I'm 28. I know that's old in 240World, but it's not in the real world. And why is a 4th gen Max out of my league?

Where can I buy a Tino-decoder? That should be a NICO standard-issue item...

If your looking at 4 doors. A used Q (which was mentioned by some of their owners) or an older Lexus LS400/ GS 300/400 all good choices. Maximas are okay too and cost a little less to maintain than the Lexi. Two door sporty: used SC300 or SC400 (luxurious. nice coupes) you could get mid 90's normally aspirated 300zx, or an older M3. If you want something that costs less to maintain, consider a later model 240sx, or perhaps an Integra (yeah, it's a friggin' honda product but you can buy them fairly cheaply and they're reliable). A little off the beaten path: VW Scirooco, early Audi A4 or Coupe Quattro, Cool cars.

I'd recommend staying away from American and korean products if you're buying used. Enjoy the hunt

Repo get what you want not what everyone else says you should get i think you need to get an s14 but I'm not going to push you to get it even though it would give red some competion at the meet seeing I think she is going to be running

hell i got a buddy that is looking at a truck and he asks for everyone's opinion on it and I am just like get it if you want it don't ask me about it just get it needless to say we being the MS rednecks we are went mud riding in it to test out the 4wd last night I love turning a black truck to brown and pissing people off that ride too close and get mud thrown at them on the way home

Robbie, Oh don't worry, I'll get what I want. I just wanted to throw that out there to see if anyone could come up with something that I had not thought of. I appreciate input from others, but obviously since I'm the one buying/driving it, I'll make my own decision.

You know what's really funny is that I was looking at pics of a Q yesterday and my wife walks in. She looks at the car on the screen and says "Oh no, you're not getting that." So I asked why not and she said "Why do you want an old man's car? It looks like a Bonneville." Hehe. So much for Hitman's theory on a Q getting the chicks hot.

LOL That's exactly what I thought when I first got the Q. I was like, dayam, "I'm in h.s. and I'm rolling in an old fogie's car..." A quick thrash at WOT was a big wake-up call though...

exactly what i was thinking when i bought mine. i think the guys at school would have been more impressed if i bought a pickup truck and put a big lift kit and tires, but i couldn't resist a 278 hp beast!
