Rust is not a mod to a car...ever. It looks terrible and it means that that panel is loosing its integrity. None of those cars with rusted panels look at all good. It looks like you couldnt afford to paint your hood and you dont care, if thats the look your going for with a 240sx, then buy a cheap aftermarket hood that has been primed, and sand off the primer, it will rust just about overnight. Rust means that the panel is rotting, leave it on there long enough the new fad will be to see how little hood you still have left.

That BMW Looks better with the rusted hood IMO, Im a VW guy so I like the rust. But keep it in the european side, I dont see it lookin good on a nissan....

Nice thread. I hate this trend more than terrorism in america. I love the HellaFlush blog, and sometimes they post pictures of cars with rusted hoods/trunks and it confuses the hell out of me.

I think its stupid, how long do you plan on keeping it? My friend tried that with his honda, stripped his hood and left a couple decals on the bare metal, left it out and sprayed it with water, rusted up the shape of the decal was there, cleard it and had it like 4 months later the middle collapsed in, stupid stupid stupid, you're an idiot. Take your A55 to europe then.

lol the 240sx community are made up of alot young people who dont have much cash and even worse sense of style. not evey car needs to be made up with fresh paint to look good. its like having that girl thats not all glamed up but she just has that bad a** look about her..

like i said "NOT EVERYONE" can pull off this look, only few can..

as for me if my car was in sh*ttyer condition or if i had a s13 id do the rusty hood/ fender look slam my car to the floor and have it un finished looking.. my car looks like the run of the mill kouki with oem aero and nice rims with a mild drop.. dime a dozen... lol
