not saying the VG motor weighs 1000lbs the motor is about 750lbs and you can remove about another 250 in stuff from it...I am just telling you what my friend told me about the swap. He would have an SR in a 300 already but he died 2 weeks after the motor got here...long sad story, but like i said it should be pretty light and if you are putting down 400 with it like you plan then i dont see how you can go wrong with it...good luck

Don't spred misinformation. There is no 2000cc class in JGTC. :rolleyes

There's two classes, GT500 and GT300.

GT300 is regulated to approx 300hp, engine size does not matter.

GT500 cars are regulated to...you guessed it, approx 500hp.

Toyota tried the 4cly for better weight distribution and an overall lighter car. It had NOTHING to do with switching classes...it was a still a GT500 car but w/ a 4cly. The project was a 'failure' and they have since decided to run the 3UZ-FE V8.

There is some race that they used it to run a 2000cc class. Just thought it was that one.

tis serious stuff them paint fumes. i know first hand....

not only are the fumes harmfull but also the fall out of the paint , it penatrates the pores in the skin and get into your system, i did alot of grafffiti when i was a teenager. i know im feeling the effects of masssive sessions with no masks or proper clothing, not to mention chewing on used spray nozels like they were candy. i think it might be the reason i have a cronic nasty cough and constant sickness. i used to be able to tell what fill color i used the day before when i blew by nose the next afternoon.

those fumes will cause heart failure in no time at all if your not carefull.

my condolences tim.
