I just watched a documentary on the USA political debates last night. What a coincidence .

The candidates actually get to pick the questions that they want to be asked. WTF. Also, there is a whole commission dedicated to making rules for political debates. The candidates are not allow to respond to the other candidates answers. They can not ask each other questions. Basically, they can not talk to each other.

I say, screw the whole presidential "debate" thing. Lets have some full blown presidential arguements. People should be able to ask the candidates any questions that they'd like to. If the candidate does not know how to respond to the question, they should say, "I'm sorry, I don't have a card with an answer to that question" .

You couldn't win with that slogon. That's the problem. The general population does not want to hear the "truth". If a candidate(*cough*bush*cough*) told you that he was going to spend the USA into the ground(read up on the national debt), would you vote for him? Probably not. So, what does he tell you. He says that he is going to (magically) turn the economy around. Do you want to be told that big corporations are going to be allowed to outsource jobs? Or do you want to be told that the candidate is going to magically stop corporations from outsourcing? Basically, a presidential election is a popularity contest.

Kind of, ~50~75tons of ashes, the rest would be turned into gases.

you don't quite understand the whole picture and reason carb was made. If you read the history of carb you will understand why. They are getting more strict in the next couple years.

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO ME!!!
Actually I know quite abit about CARB, I don't disagree with everything the board was made up for. I do hpwever disagree with the way the judicial system and DOT have such lax rules pertaining to what is and isn't illegal. Putting way to much responsibility in the hands of our friendly police officers. An exhaust system doesn't create polution. Removing the Cat will. An intake doesn't create pollution, removing the EGR crap will...see where I'm going with this?

Passing emmisions is a must when you have a large population in a condensed area. But if my 240 passes emissions with a RB20DET installed and is way under the DB level for noise polution then get the hell off my nutz...thats my opinion.

Of course that slogan wouldn't work. I made it up in 15 seconds. I'm gonna run anyway, whynot. How many people can say they ran for president. I know for a fact I'll get a few thousand votes. I'll be retired from the military by then, so I'll have nothing but time.

I know enough well educated people to keep me on the staright and narrow. Who knows, maybe I'll use some of your BS in my campaign.

This has turned into a "who cares what the original topic was" thread.

a few (actually many, many things) really bother me about the "official" story from the govt. on 9/ll, and specifically flight 77. 1. why no video proof of the plane hitting the building? the pentagon released stills claiming to show the plane, but the quality is so bad the plane had to be pointed out. i don't believe that one of our most secure and protected and important govt. buildings does not use state of the art survellience equiptment, ridiculous to believe that the pentagon uses the same cameras that target might to moniter their parking lot!!!! 2. look at the official timeline given. at 8:50 contact is lost with flight 77. at 9:02 (40 min. before impact) a controller notifies AAirlines they can't contact the pilot. only at 9:24 is NORAD notified of a possible hijaking!!!!! when the planes' transponder went off, red flags should have gone off, why the long delay. when ANY plane deviates by 15degrees (or 2 miles) controllers will always hit the panic button. it was 40 min. after flight 77 changed course before impact and no F16 interceptors dispatched!!!!! there was a much, much quicker reaction time to the golfer Payne Stewarts lear jet (with F-16's right beside it till impact!!). makes no sense!! 3. why were interceptors not scrammbled from andrews, 10 miles from the capital????? they instead were coming from langley, 130 miles away. andrews has two major squadrons officially termed on the highest state of readiness (121st fighter squadron and 321st marine fighter attack squadron). their job is to protect the no fly zone over washington, yet they sat idle as a plane flew for 40 min. towards washington and after it was known of the world trade center attacks!!!!! again, makes no sense! 4. every major govt. building in most of the free world is protected by extrememly advanced ground to air defences. most are computer monitored. once a plane enters the no fly zone the pilot will be immediatly notified to identify itself. fighters will be scrammbled but once a certain distance away from the building, missles can be fired to take out the plane. i know for a fact that the australian parliament building in canberra is protected by this very system. are we to believe that the pentagon would not use this same (or even more advanced) defences???? there is no logical answer as to how a commercial plane, off course for 40 min, be allowed to hurl to washington dc with zero response!!! evidently payne stewart's lear jet was more important to intercept than our capital!!!!! incredible

I have not studied up on the new Bunker Buster bombs, but if it were a BB bomb, wouldnt it have a vertical trajectory rather than a horizontal (like a Cruise Missile)? If it were a missile, wouldnt you have to have a jet, ship or sub in the area to launch and guide it?bud

Not any more dude, we have missiles that follow road maps and stop at intersections.

Ahh the marvels and terrors of GPS

I can only image the devastation if they would have had an equivalent of one of our ICBMs (I would not be here to post this).
