I would get a new engine also..they are not that expensive plus it is a young suv..

I have been quoted at best 1700 for engine and labour. I have a new vehicle coming as is and I became a newly declared to be father. The money will have to be saved.
The vehicle has been stripped of Audio (except door speakers) and is online for sale as is till end of June which at that point will be parted out to some locals (and requests from you guys)
I have until then to decide whether or not to change my mind.

i have found a buyer for my pathy. 2k cash. im satisfied with the sale and they walked with a great deal... hate to let it go.

Have you opened up the top of the engine to see for sure if it was a power valve screw(s) that killed it?
Just curious.
FYI, I keep meaning to do mine, and I've had the gaskets sitting in my garage for over a year now, but just haven't taken the time to do it.
I guess it's time to get off my a** and get 'er dun, before I blow an engine.

The truck has been set and sold. I am satisfied with the buyer as he is a Mechanic of Southside Nissan. The truck will also be used for a good cause as he will be using it to rescue Pitbulls (I am a pitbull owner myself) He himself is quite shocked that the engine blew a hole especially the location as well... Overall I am quite happy. Some other guy came earlier in the day and attempted to buy the vehicle so that he could flip it and I wasnt too happy with that... I wanted to sell this baby to a good home and a good home it is going to. Thanks for all the support and interest, I apologize for those looking for parts.

Yeah.. I told him to go to the wreckers or I could refer him to another shop that was willing to fix the thing for 1700.... lol.. oh well.. its his problem now and my memories... Altima ETA is April 30th. So, The guy who bought my truck has been keeping in touch and showing me pictures... I still cry myself to sleep at night from what hes shown me... The Connecting Rod (after he pulled it out) was MANGLED...... And after the Engine was taken out, the transmission followed through and was found to be destroyed.... So instead of just a blown engine, The transmission went with it. I miss my truck so much....

I just saw my pathy on the road... the guy has obviously repaired her... messed with the exhaust piping and repainted the brakes.... all in all its great to see her back up and running but it feels weird as f*** to see her without her keys in my hand.....

in great shape no damage no leaks
i would like to trade for your stock 2002-2004 pathfinder or qx4 taillights!
i am willing to do all the work I'm a certified nissan technician
I also have a custom manderal bend cat back exhaust that has a low deep tone sounds awesome! Again i would like to trade for you stock exhaust (in good shape please)
the exhaust is one piece for the best flow and is less then six months old 4000km on it
has a single muffler and has a stock looking exit to keep it looking factory
I will do all the work i'm a certified nissan technician
